So after continually searching for another Dominican hair salon after being fed up with where me and my mom was going I came across this salon. We were so tired of the rising prices every time we went and the lack of quality and we had been going there for over a year driving 2 hours there and 2 hours back so after reading the reviews here I contacted Katy because her name was mentioned a few times in the reviews. She informed me she couldn't give me a accurate price over the phone and she needed to see my hair first so I drove up a hour and a half there Saturday Dec 15th. she also informed me they didn't do appt. And that there is a line when they open at 10am and it's best to arrive early so I arrived me and my mom Dec 23rd at 15 minutes till 10am which there was a line, but after entering, the shampoo ladies moved very quickly but thorough they were also able to do color. They were very polite and sanitized after each client. Katy done me and my mom hair my mom got curls she has thin hair. I got a silk press I have thick corse hair she done a great job better than where we had been going. I am also very observant and the other two ladies do good as well so that's a win win. My mom walks with a walker and it was very accessible for her. We both love our hair and got a lot of compliments so far so good. When I got ready to pay Katy did forget that I had came in and the price she told me but she did honor it. Thank you Katy and original Dominican hair salon see you next month. And for saving me at least a half hour off my trip????
Did a great job with my hair but price was waaaay more than expected and when asked to cut my bangs I was told it would look funny. Price for blow out $35+ with free deep condition (it was their special for that day). I also got a trim. Price I paid $105. Last time I'll be there.
I have been coming here for years. Great service the stylist do an awesome job. I go to Katie and my daughter goes to Josie. But everyone in there is experienced not too much heat on your hair.
I was referred to this place by my cousin, when I first moved here a year ago, and have been going weekly ever since. Everyone is very nice. I get my hair done by Katie. My hair was above my shoulders, when I first started going, now it's a quarter inch below my back. Definitely would reccomend to everyone! I live 20 minutes away, and still drive the distance every week, cause they're that good ????
Nice salon, everyone is friendly and their prices are resonable.
I apologize for not having pictures on this trip, but this is my second time coming to the shop. It is clean and well organized. Please note the volume can vary at times especially on Saturdays and setting up an appointment maybe advised. That being said Mr. Ricky is a skilled barber and his hair cuts ✂️ are always well done. I will return:)
They were so nice, patient and professional. I came it with 4c natural hair (real 4c hair, with the tight densely packed coils and shrinkage). When I got it washed, she did an amazingly thorough job. I got a blow out by Nena and she got my hair straight, but kept the body and bounce. I never ever knew my hair was this long. I might go every 3-4 weeks instead of every 2 weeks just because I want to use as little heat as I can get away with (they did tell me I would need less heat next time if the coils are still pretty loose). Honestly I have no complaints; no attitudes, no rushing you and they double checked everything to make sure I still wanted everything I came in wanting.
I go here often, for a few years now. I appreciate the fact that you they are open later than most salons and even on Sundays Yes, they do use quite a bit of heat but that's what is required to straighten my chemical free & natural hair. I always get a deep conditioner to keep my hair healthy. Katie does an amazing job! I often get compliments about my hair and the prices are also very reasonable.
