Great pub with well kept beers, great hosts Babs and Gordon who are very welcoming

Nice friendly pub with a good atmosphere can't fault the place.

I like what they've done turned into a pub welcoming for older people just probably best of letting the younger people back in but the right ones as sometimes staff can make feel uncomfortable

Great place to go Babs and Gordon are brilliant host except when Gordon wears the Monkey T-shirt only joking party on x

My first time visiting the Old Ball Inn tonight, and unfortunately the last time! I haven't been to a pub round ashton for over 7 years but went tonight as they advertised a great artist on who I have seen before ( Joanie L Wood) and despite joanie being as great as always it was a shame to feel so unwelcome. The staff were rude, blunt, unfriendly and not welcoming at all.

I was grateful to go and see yet another great gig from the extremely talented Joanie but disappointed with the venue, I wouldn't recommend this pub to anyone.

Brilliant night lots of people, good beer and a brilliant band

Sunday quiz night back , unfortunately Carl has retired , but Ben has stepped in , doing an excellent job , new landlord and landlady plus a good refurb , have made it a great place to go for a laugh and a pint . Long may it last .

This is a lovely local pub with very helpful and friendly staff. They do not have the biggest selection of real ales in the world but the ones they have are well maintained. I have always found the place to be clean and tidy and well maintained. If you’re in the area and want a pint, you won’t do bad going here.
