If I had to choose one word to describe NY Nails, I would use the word IMPECCABLE. IMPECCABLE service, IMPECCABLE products, IMPECCABLE nail art, IMPECCABLE attention to detail, IMPECCABLE atmosphere, IMPECCABLE results… EVERY. DAMN. TIME. When I moved to Pittsburgh, I had such a hard time finding the top two things I wanted when it came to my nails… 1. A place that offered Gel-X (and did it properly) 2. A place/person that would match my creative ideas and execute them perfectly. Then I came across NY Nails and got even more than the two things I was searching for- I know more about my own nails more than ever and completely trust Nethan with keeping them healthy & stunning. I am so thankful for this salon, and every 2 weeks I am BEYOND excited to go in and not only leave with the most perfect set of nails, but to see the wonderful staff that is NY Nails, and that make it the wonderful experience that it is. I started coming here in April 2021, and I will never be leaving!!!
BEST nail salon around!! I always feel welcomed, staff is incredibly friendly, and they do great work. I've only gotten my nails done by Haley and she will always be my nail person!
Let me start off by saying that Ny Nails is a fantastic salon with the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. I had my nails done by Nethan and he is extremely talented; his quality of work is unmatched. He is gentle, sociable, takes his time, and produces quality work. I've been to a few nail salons in the area and this one is by far the best one. Not only was I enjoying the experience, HE was enjoying it also and that made such a difference! Don't pass up Ny Nails! You won't be disappointed!
Susan is great! I am so glad I finally found a good nail place in the North Hills! My pedicure was great, including the massage part. For my full set I did gel and gave her a picture of the design I wanted, which she matched perfectly. You could tell most of the clients were regulars as everyone knew each other by name, and even though it was a busy Friday they were able to get me an appointment within a few hours of calling. I will definitely be going back!
Today was my first time ever going to NYNailsPittsburgh and I walked in and felt so comfortable and welcomed by everyone there. They were so kind and informative. Jasmine did my nails, and she was so sweet, gentle and really took her time with me. She gave me the best dip manicure I’ve ever had- I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone! I will absolutely be going back!!!
I had a wonderful time getting pampered. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable. They take great care of their clients by paying attention to detail and cleanliness. The conversation was light and fun. I can't wait to go again; I found my nail spa for sure.
If you want Instagram/Pinterest nails for a reasonable price this is your place. They’ve always done my nails fast and well.
I hate leaving a bad review, but this place has turned into a complete hot mess.
Went in for a full set, which resulted in huge gaps between my natural nail and the acrylic tip. This is generally poor practice as it’s a breeding ground for bacteria and fungus, and is a nail health issue above all. I reached out via Google message and was left on read, and tried multiple times to get ahold of the salon via phone but nobody picks up (even during times of business). I would have gladly left a message, but their voicemail is constantly full.
Finally got ahold of NY Nails to remedy this situation, and after having to wait a week to have them fix it, their solution was to add even more acrylic without disinfecting or cleaning the gaps. So now instead of gaps, I have dirt embedded in hugely thick acrylics.
Generally, it’s impossible to reach this salon, and when you do finally get in, the work is subpar and kind of unhygienic. I would suggest looking elsewhere.
