Awesome as always! My party was seated quickly! We actually had the option to pick our table which was different and lovely. After being seated we received our drinks quickly and the soda was strong and tasty like bottled beverages! They of course give you a basket of warm tortilla chips and salsa with the option of hot or mild.
I order the Vallarta lunch portioned (pictured) I chose to remove the green peppers, salad, and guacamole so those are options. The plate pictured consisted of Chicken, Steak, and Shrimp covered in cheese sauce with rice and tortilla chips on the side a tortilla wrap is also included.
The food is awesome the taste, the preparation time, the temperature, and it's priced well. I would recommend going here if you haven't been it's definitely a jewel in a small town!
It's just your normal American Mexican restaurant. They had a few items that I was totally unfamiliar with. The service was average. The beer was cold. The food was good.
This was an excellent experience. I met my Mom for dinner in my favorite charming little town. We chose this place because the decor looked nice than other places open on Sunday. The place was packed which is a great sign with the labor shortages and of course general recovery after COVID-19. There was a moderate wait to get to a table and then to place our order but it wasn't because they were short of staff. They had enough people but it was so crowded. The staff was hustling so much that at points they were nearly running to get orders in. We didn't mind the delay because we were there to visit and relax.
The food was great. Mom was making a lot of decisions such as the size of the guacamole (she was sure small was what we needed, I did not concur) and if we needed more chips (no) but actually, yes.
We got the guac without the spice and it was good. Chips were warm and when the food came, it was nice and hot. Refills were on time but I drink like a fish and went with the large water and then added a lemonade as I was avoiding caffeine after the drive down from Charlotte.
I consider this kind of place to be an American style Mexican restaurant. What I mean is, it's a beans and rice place with unlimited chips and salsa. I expect street tacos in Mexico are probably a bit different though, there are four types of tacos bur I didn't ask. There's nothing at all wrong with this and was my expectation.
What mattered was the food was hot and the service was prompt and they got a big tip because of it (bring cash if you can, this is South Carolina and you'll get a discount for it).
I would say, this is the best "beans and rice" place I've been to. It was a pleasant experience to say the least and quite a find in this cozy little town.
I ordered the #1 with an extra taco. I don't remember what Mom ordered but I was assured that it was quite tasty as was the margarita.
Highly recommended. They are still using disposable menus so the pics here don't reflect "normal times".
Came to watch the conference game Chiefs vs. Bangels, and enjoyed with a cold beer. The bar was available, and the game was on. The food was good, but they ran out of Modelo draft. They made up with a serving of 32 onces of Bud light.
FABOLOUS.... OMG BEST EVER ... I loved it... Fresh cooked... Extremely friendly
I checked this place out yesterday and I must say this was the most authentic Mexican restaurant I've tried. Everything was hot and fresh and so good. The only part that I didn't like was that they were so busy it took them a min to get everything out to us but nevertheless i will definitely be going back.
First time here I just ordered takeout. Everything was ready when they told me it would be. My order was complete and the food was very good. From the looks of the place would be a nice place to go to have dinner and drinks. I was there Friday at 6:00 p.m. and I would have been able to get a table right away.
The food was pretty good. The portions are a good bit smaller than any other Mexican restaurant I've been to. Service is excellent and the atmosphere was. Music wasn't loud which was nice.
