I’ve been looking for a new nail salon since I moved to this area. After COVID all prices have gone up everywhere and the quality seems to have dropped so I’ve been going to different salons every time I get my nails done. But I’ve finally found my go to place. Karen is the owner and the service here is phenomenal. The designs are above par I haven’t been able to get a design in years because other salons have made me lose hope. Karen did the first design on my nails in years and it’s amazing I definitely recommend this salon and will continue to come every 2 week.
I have been going here for years but I think the experience I had today was bad enough for me to not want to go here anymore, I came in for a full set of acrylics they told me to pick a color so I did and then I asked them if I could do gel and they said yes, they didn’t show me any gel polish and started doing my nails. She was extremely rough and was clearly in a rush, my nails are all different lengths and crooked but I think the worst part was when she grabbed a color on her own and just started painting without consulting me and then told me what she was gonna do after she’d already started. I wanted the color changing polish so that’s why I paid the 15 extra dollars for the gel I tried to say something because she was trying to paint them a purple and red and the purple was already on my nail so I couldn’t do anything about that but I asked her to do black instead of red and she threw her hands up and acted super annoyed.my middle nail is totally different than the rest. won’t be back
UPDATE: 4 days after getting them one of my nails just broke and I was just putting clothes in the washer. This is because she put glue on my nails before sizing the tips so my nails arnet glued on well.
The technician was very inattentive throughout and I had to ask her to shorten my nails three times because she was distracted by another customer (I would have understood if it was a language barrier but it wasn’t). When she cut them down she rushed through it and filed my cuticle so it’s inflamed. They came out looking ok except for my thumb where the polish has a bumpy ridge with some left over polish in addition to the top coat being kind of dull.
Yen is amazing! She is the only person who I let take care of my feet. She takes her time to keep clear of any ingrown toenails that are or could possibly start hurting. She does a good thorough job on my nails too. I've very picky about small details and Yen pays close attention to details. Karen does some really pretty, cute and festive nail designs for me too. I love walking in and telling her i want fall nails or Xmas or summer, just make them cute and she executes every time!
This is the 3rd time I've gone here for my nails. Yes, I should have learned from the first two. I was tired and it was dark & rainy and wanted something on the way home. A cost of $55 for another horrible dip. They break right away, chip, peel - and I had to wait 45 minutes, even though I called a head of time and was told what time to come. Obviously if you get a pedicure with your nails, you get better treatment. I have noticed not people come there for their nails. Don't go for nails. If you are in for a pedicure they do a nicer job.
While getting a new set of acrylic nails I got cut four times. No blood at least. The technician rushed and the nails were ok. Kinda crooked and kinda differing lengths. The gel paint work was alright. The price was reasonable. Overall a somewhat disappointing experience.
Update: added a pic to show how close they got to grinding through my nail bed. Was painful for weeks. I have thin nails to begin with.
It was amazing. It was pain free and quick. My nails turned out better than I expected. I am so pleased and will definitely be going back to them. I will be letting all my friends know about them as well.
I wanted to book a quick appointment at nail salon, (as I had forgotten to make an appointment the day before), and they were very friendly even on the phone. I didn't have to wait to long, and my nails were done quickly and gently. The basic manicure even included a moisturizing wax dip and arm massage. The nail dryers weren't the cleanest, but everything else was very nice.
All in all, I received a lovely manicure for the cheap price of $18. My only complaint is that the top coat wasn't of the highest quality, as one or two of my nails have already started to chip at the tips at only 2-3 days old, also the top coat became a little scratched easily, but it's not notifiable. I've included photos, and the only thing I'm really disappointed about is the chipped nail, but honestly, my experience with this salon was fantastic!!
