Cameron was nice and kind enough to welcome me in even though they were closer to closing. He did an amazing job with my gel manicure. He was very thorough and attentive to his work while being an humble and an easy person to talk to.
Thank you Cameron!!
i’ve never been to a nail salon leaving 100% satisfied with my nails until today! i had a walk in appointment and they took care of me right away. thank you michael!
I am Very disappointed with Nail Tech nail salon in st joseph mi. They are uncaring, unprofessional and the service quality is very bad. I have gone there for over 10 years and recently notice a drastic decline in service! quite drastically!! (especially when they deal with people of color). The pedicure massage chairs do not work and the workers are untrained. On my last visit (September 2022) They refused to move a client to a working pedicure chair —one that was not broken since It was her Birthday and her main purpose was to get a massage during pedicure—there were several open pedi chairs but manager rudely refused to move her to a working chair ! Plus the worker had to be reminded that she is supposed to scrub/wash the clients feet during pedicure (her response was “Oh I forgot) …Duh! The nail polish was applied lumpy and not smooth. And the gel polish chips after 2 days . The manager Michael/Owner and worker is very rude and not accommodating when service issues are brought to his attention I heard him tell his customers “if they don’t like it don’t come back”. He is very rude and apparently don’t care. So BEWARE! I’m warning anyone looking for good quality friendly and professional service to NOT GO To NAIL TECH in St Joseph MI!!!!
Pedicure was excellent. Nails were done very fast and a little sloppy. They need to update their website to say they are closed on Mondays. It says they are open so I drove over there in the rain to find a dark building.
Walk in, first visit. Excellent pedicure, gentle and efficient, reasonable prices. Will be back!
BAD SERVICE!!
Today 9/17/22 my BDay went to Nail Tech first person of the day, my sis recommended the service. Felt so hurt and diaappointment on my b'day with pedi and the massage chair that didn't work, the pedi was terrible, ask to be moved to another chair the owner said "NO"- micheal, and that i broke it and to play with it. SO all i did was try it and the chair didnt work. I was very nice, cordial and repectful. The owner -MIcheal, treated me cold/nasty manner and with no customer service. MY SIS came in later and ask if he would move me to another chair bc she was getting a pedi. too. At that point. I really felt racially mistreated/targeted in the presence of others. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, EVER! And the owner has a sign saying if not satisfied see mgr well that didn't work on my special day. NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! Micheal is very selective with with the customer service, This company does not treat ppl fairly. TRUELY DISAPPOINTED!
Worst nail job ever, literally ever!!!!! If you can't do what the client asks for then say you can't do it!!! Left acrylic all over my hands, and under the nails, they are crooked and uneven!!! Asked for a ballerina style and this is what happened, save your money and go else where.
Don’t care how I was treated once by the owner (Michael), he was INCREDIBLY rude to me before. He’s not only rude, he’s low-key racist. Once “Tina” did my nails and she rushed through so much (because Michael was out for the day and she and one other person was working that day), my nails looked terrible and she wasn’t trying to make it right due to her trying to get in as many customers as she could????.
From then on, the only people that do my nails are Kevin (who’s left) and Cameron (who is amazing and I always give him a nice tip)..... As a matter of fact he’s been on vacation since August 1 and today is August 25 and I have not stepped 1 foot in that shop and will not until he returns at the end of August ( needless to say my nails look a mess). Love my nail technician just don’t like how rude the owner is and if Cameron ever leaves, I won’t be back.

Quick Facts About Nail Tech

Nail Tech Place is a nail salon with both positive and negative feedback from customers. Let's analyze the comments to understand their strengths and weaknesses.
Starting with the strengths, one common theme in the positive comments is the excellent service provided by certain nail technicians. Cameron, in particular, was praised for being welcoming, thorough, attentive, and easy to talk to. He left customers 100% satisfied with their nails and made their experience enjoyable. This indicates that Nail Tech Place has talented technicians who can deliver high-quality manicure services, which is a significant strength for the salon.
Additionally, the convenience of walk-in appointments was appreciated by customers. Some mentioned that they were taken care of right away without having to wait for a long time, which implies that Nail Tech Place efficiently manages their schedule and values customer time. This kind of prompt service is likely to attract more customers and contribute to the salon's success.
On the other hand, there are several weaknesses highlighted in the negative comments. One customer expressed disappointment with the decline in service quality over the years. They noticed a drastic change in service, especially when it came to serving people of color. This suggests that there may be an issue with racial discrimination or bias within the salon, which is a severe weakness and can severely impact its reputation.
Multiple comments mentioned problems with broken or non-functioning pedicure massage chairs. This indicates a lack of maintenance and attention to the salon's equipment, which can negatively impact customer experience and satisfaction. The refusal of the manager or owner, Michael, to move a client to a working pedicure chair was seen as rude and unaccommodating.
Customer service is another area where Nail Tech Place received negative feedback. Some customers mentioned that Michael, the owner, was rude and unprofessional. One comment even mentioned that he is low-key racist. This is a significant weakness as it reflects poorly on the salon's management and can deter potential customers.
Furthermore, there were complaints about the quality of the nail job itself. Customers mentioned sloppy work, lumpy application of nail polish, and nails that were crooked and uneven. These issues indicate a lack of attention to detail and skill in executing the requested nail styles. This weakness could result in dissatisfied customers and potential loss of business.
Another weakness highlighted in the comments is the lack of accurate and up-to-date information on the salon's website. One customer drove to the salon only to find it closed on a day when the website indicated it was open. This lack of clarity and attention to accurate information can lead to customer frustration and inconvenience.
Based on the feedback, Nail Tech Place's strengths lie in the talent and skill of certain nail technicians, as well as their ability to provide prompt service through walk-in appointments. However, weaknesses in customer service, racial discrimination allegations, poor maintenance of equipment, and subpar nail job quality pose significant challenges that need to be addressed to improve customer satisfaction and maintain a positive reputation.
