I had my nails done on a Friday. While using the drill, she kept going so fast it burned. I kept flinching and telling her it was hot. She was so rude and just kept doing it. Not only was the lady rude but once she ran my card, she asked me if I was going to tip her. She told me she'll take a cash tip. Very weird. Then, Sunday one of my nails just fell off. It's now Tuesday and two more are broken. I spent $70 and feel like they should last longer than a day or two. I won't be going back and don't recommend them.
Had a gel fill done with gel polish. I was one of the last customers so it was almost 6:30 by the time the owner finished. My daughter was with me so I didn’t get a chance to thoroughly check out my nails before paying. Once I got home and looked at my nails I saw she had left streaks all over my nails with the paint. Due to being sick I couldn’t go back for a few days. I finally went back in to show her the paint streaks and asked her to just change the color since the paint may have been old, thus causing the streaks. She agreed and repainted. She then tried to charge me $35!!! I explained she shouldn’t charge anything due to the issue being with the paint or how she painted. Finally she agreed to only $20. I was shocked. Other places do not charge to fix a problem like this. I will not be returning.
Me and my girlfriend went to this nail spa to get a manicure for her and a pedicure for me. The woman who did my pedicure did a good job. Also the woman who did my girlfriends manicure did a good job. That's where the good stopped. Upon completion of my pedicure I went and paid for both services for myself and her. My girlfriend said that she would pay the tip so I didn't have to break a large bill. I agreed and took the tip to the woman who did my pedicure. Upon completion of my girlfriend's manicure. The owner asked the woman who completed my girlfriend's manicure did she get a tip speaking in spanish. Not knowing that my girlfriend spoke and understood spanish. The manicurist informed the owner that she and her co-worker had both indeed received tips for their service. Also my girlfriend had also told the owner that tips were given. The owner apparently did not believe neither of them and went and asked the pedicurist did she receive a tip. This was done in front of other customers. In which the woman who had come to get a manicure with another woman said. " I would go and get my tip back. "
The owner was told by the pedicurist that she had indeed received a tip. After receiving this information the owner did not offer an apology. My girlfriend stated to the owner " since when are tips required?" The owner had nothing to say but, " have a good night ". Pretty much saying leave. Services were paid for that's all that should be required. Tips? That is up to each customer. We always tip unless service was bad. Not good business at all. Definitely looking for another nail spa.
I took my daughter for a pedicure this morning. The one we selected came with a 10 minute chair message. The gentleman that messaged me smelled like cigarettes. Big turn off in a spa… secondly, I felt him brush up against me. Okay, first time a mistake. Then again and again; touching my hip with what I can only assume to be you know what. I got up because I could not enjoy a back rub like that. My daughter’s masseuse was at least standing a foot away from her. May just be his personal style but it grossed me out. No thanks. Won’t be back. We pay money for this?? I left the nail tech a generous tip for the pedicure. She did a great job. The message that was included. No thanks. I should have said something and perhaps I will once I calm down. Needed to get home and shower????
I would give the nail tech more than two stars. The entire experience was star-less!
Was always pleased but today was different. I noticed a sign over mail drying station stating an up charge for using credit cards, I’m not sure if that is legal or not. I know discounts for cash are legal at gas stations. I’m not certain about nail salons or their verbiage. They have always had a rule that tips had to be cash. I never gave it much thought. Today I paid with a credit card. I had taken 20% of the cash total (not credit card total) out in cash to leave as a tip. They confronted me and insisted I pay 20% of the credit card total. I was embarrassed. I gave it to them rather than creating a scene. Now that I’m reading others reviews of similar situations I won’t be going back. Something doesn’t seem right.
In the past (prepandemic) I have always been very pleased with the manicure and pedicure spa services. The experience quality has greatly reduced. They no longer provide a timer to ensure that the customer gets their 10 minute massage for their lavender spa pedicure. Secondly the massage wasn’t really a massage the technician was just rubbing a lotion on my feet. It felt brisk and inexperienced. There is no longer a complementary neck massage while you get a manicure. But most of all they demanded a 15 to 20% tip. I handed them A five dollar bill and one of the gentleman told me that tip is usually 20% and walked away. Another woman demanded for my mother to pay 15% and even charged her credit card $10. This is simply ridiculous and humiliating. The manicures and pedicures are very expensive and tip is complementary, never have I ever been asked for more money as a tip from a nail spa.
I went in for just a pedicure, there least expensive one and did not get nail polish because it is cold out. Most of the staff always want you to leave before your nails are completely dry and wear Sanders. It is too cold to do that in Dec. I was in there less then forty five minutes. They asked what amount for a tip, I said thee dollars. The staff gasped, it was not enough! They took out $5.00! I will NEVER go there again!!
I took the women who are mothers to get pedi and mani. I paid and left with my son. When I ask the women how it was, I was told that they were asking about the tip the whole time. Usually you get a tip when you do a good job. They got $15 a piece. They are lucky the women i took there are nice ladies because i wouldn't of gave them nothing.
