Went there to get acrylics for a wedding I was in and was very unsatisfied. I’m missing the fill on majorly of the nails, the paint job is horrible, the matte finish doesn’t cover all of the nail polish, absolutely no cuticle care, the edges of my nails are messed up and when I went in to show them and get them fixed, the lady looked at me and said “you’re fine, they’re fine” and shooed me out the door. 10/10 DO NOT recommend. Haven’t even had them for 4 days and they look out grown!
Will not be going back, ever. First off, I made an appointment because of the weather, and so I knew we'd get in right away. I called in the morning, they told me 345. I waa worried about the weather but it was barely snowing when we came (45 minutes away) so I thought we'd be ok by the time we left. We waited over an hour before they even started on us, we were there another hour before we were done, my daughter who is 9 and I both got pedicures. Our water was freezing cold by the time they got around to us. Second off, we now paid $106.58 for a kids pedicure and an adult pedicure. 50$/piece. That is absolutely insane. We were quoted 30/35 by the price difference is 20$/extra per pedicure for gel, and we had so sit and wait an hour past our appointment time. On our way home roads were now bad. We had litterally just gone for pedicures, it was my daughters birthday end of Feb, and her appointment got cancelled that day because of the storm and this was the only free time we had. I will not be going back here, ever.
honestly extremely unimpressed. didn’t realize getting ombré was $35 more than a solid dip. (something that would’ve been nice to know before) without having acrylics or a proper manicure & no cuticle care, spent $70 on these. i could have gotten a full set of acrylics with dip and my toes polished at a high quality nail salon for $100. i wish i would have known the quality and the cost that nail city was going to be. would not recommend to anyone after this experience, very disappointed.
i don’t usually right reviews but we made an appointment and still ended up waiting an hour to get in. they charged me $80 for this. It’s not horrible but i’ve gotten my nails done way better for way cheaper. do not recommend.
The woman here have talent! Don't spend your hard earned pedi/mani money at another nail salon , I've been to most In Brookings. The service, timeliness, cleanliness, various options they cover don't compare to others.
Just know your "nail shape lingo" before heading in. Communicate what you want effectively with them. You won't be disappointed. Also they have a "punch card" type deal. If you get enough mani/pedi's, you get one free!
In photos, both girl in the foreground and myself got our nails done here.
They were really nice I can say that! But the nail job was really bad...I got acrylic nails done. I got charged $100 for just my nails! They were super thick, all were different shapes, one side was thicker then the other. It was not pretty. I did end up getting them filled and fixed at a different nail salon.
These ladies take the best care of me! They always know exactly what I want... BEST nail salon in town!!
Nail City is great! The girls always remember me and make me feel at home. The prices have gone up a bit but that could be everywhere, I’ve only gone here for acrylics.
