Mohamed is a great barber. I’ve been going to him for about six months now and have always been very pleased with my haircuts. In fact, my cuts have been much better than when I used to go to high priced “salons” in DC. He is also very friendly. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great men’s haircut.

A very quiet and decent place where you can get the haircut you want.
Mohamed is one of the best.
After months closing, I thought he closed the business for good and was adding another depression situation I've had this whole 2020 year. But, Muhamed finally opened his door again. You have no idea how happy I was few days ago when I went there. After months trying different barber shop or hair salon in DC, even VA, it's just nothing like the way Mohamed does to my hair. I can see that Mohamed barber shop is practicing social distancing very well in the shop by having a sanitizing machine for his hair cut tools and putting a safe distance between guest waiting seat. Also, Mohamed work by himself and the place is big enough that I think it's very safe. Need to remind you as well that it's Cash only people!
I've been to Muhammad's place for 12 years!
Honestly, not the best place to go. I assumed there will be plenty of people working based on the chairs on the photos but there was only one person working there. The told me he can do hair cut only and there were already 2 to 3 people in the queue.
Mohamed’s Barber Shop is the jewel of Georgia Avenue. This man will remember the last haircut you had no matter how long it’s been since you sat in the chair. He does amazing fades and finishes with an old fashioned shears cut on top. The process takes a bit longer than a typical barber but it’s well worth it for the results.
By far the best barber I have been to. He gets it spot on every time. You may have to wait as he only takes walk-ins, but it’s well worth it. Stop at an ATM on your way, it’s cash only.
Mohammad is the man. First time getting my haircut in DC. It’s a very straight forward haircut for $28 (before tip— cash only). I have very thick hair and I have a hard time articulating myself when I want a haircut. Like all the other reviews, it’s just him cutting hair, so you will probably have to wait if you’re just getting off a 9-5. The wait is worth it though. I normally walk out of a barber shop with a very choppy cut or a pompadour that I didn’t want. Mohammad also checked in with me through multiple steps of the cut to make sure I was getting what I wanted, which made me feel valued.
He just played his own music & chopped on. Will for sure go back again.
Great, no frills barber shop. I've been going to Mohamed for over a year now and he has never given me a bad haircut. He's an old school barber who powers through cuts left and right. Just tell him what you're looking for and he'll get it done. The thing that I especially appreciate about Mohamed is that if you say you want something and he has concerns that it won't turn out the way you're thinking it will, he'll push back and see if that's really what you're wanting.
Great haircuts from a great barber at an affordable price. What more could you ask for?
