I had a nail nightmare from another salon and came to Modish Nails Spa for help. I walked in and the nail tech listened to my concerns, offered suggestion and performed service in a quick and efficient manner. The experience was great and I was able to get in and out. The soap to wash my hands smelled amazing also...
I will never come here again. Before today are used to come here with my son every two weeks for a jelly pedicure and a fresh layover so of course I remove the old acrylic for my fresh set and my son gets a manicure and a pedicure. Today I just got my nails done meaning I soaked off the old acrylic and got a fresh layover I was charged $80 by Ricky for something I normally pay $55 for. Not only did I have to wait 40 minutes before someone even started to soak my nails but then I was left for an additional 40 minutes until someone came to finish taking off the old acrylic. THIS IS NOT WORTH $80!!! I hate being taken advantage of and this is what he did by being greedy. For that they lost a long time customer!! I will never visit ANY MODISH nail salon in NC ever again. And I will definitely let everyone know Including all social media platforms not to go there because the service is horrible and not worth it at all.
The start of my service went very well. I came in and asked for a pedicure and also to have the gel polish removed from my fingernails. Lee was very gentle with the start of my services but there was a miscommunication on the type of polish that I wanted to use and she clearly was upset. Once we got to the portion of my gel polish removal from my fingernails my experience took a turn. I'm not sure if she was upset about the miscommunication on the type of Polish I wanted on my toes but she started to get very rough with the procedure for my fingernails. I asked for the gel polish to be removed which she did but then she asked what type of Polish would I like and I told her that I was not getting a manicure I just wanted the Polish removed. she proceeded to clean the polish off and then put oil on my hands and told me to go ahead and wash my hands. When I got to the register to check out she had marked on my slip that I got a manicure with gel polish. This was not the case, the manager at the front is the one who marked what services I wanted and he seen it as well. He said it was in case of miscommunication and he took off the added fees and that was fine. BUT
The young lady at the register proceeded to tell me that he gave me a discount because what I got should have been $10 more. I informed her that I didn't mind paying the $10 for the service I actually asked for but that I was not going to pay $25 for a service that I did not receive. I did not get any type of manicure procedures done besides getting the Polish taken off of my nails. This is my first time going to this location because it came highly recommended but now I see why the other reviews are talking about the customer service. If I do go back I will make sure to pick a different person to do my services. I left a tip because I always do, but next time I'll base it on service instead of just me being kind hearted.

I will never give my hard earned money to this company again. It started off with me having a 9:30 appointment with a tech that has done my nails and toes for the last 4 months. I was there at 9:30 when they opened but the tech was late. I asked the front desk if she was coming in and they stated yes. When she finally got there I said hello and reminded her I had a 9:30 with her. She proceeded to gather her nail items and started working on someone else. I again mentioned I have a 9:30 appt. She said she had to repair a nail on someone. Mike the owner evidently realized he made a mistake, and sent someone else to work on me. The new tech began doing stuff to my nails that I didn’t want. She should have soaked my nails instead she took the short cut to remove the old quickly. When I complained, I was made to look like the bad person. He finally allowed the original tech I had scheduled with to finish my nails. The owner stated I was not allowed to schedule an appointment again. He also over talked me and was truly rude to a good paying customer. I will never go there again! . This company charges way too much and are truly unprofessional! You get no more of my money! A VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER!!!!!
I probably have bad luck with going to nail salon but I have gone to modish 3-5 times giving it a try over and over and every time they mess up my nails with it being crooked or thick or hurting my skin I show pictures and super nice and patience but I wanna love it cause my friend likes it but they never get it right for reference one thumb is crooked other is fine and you can see how thick polish is yet to find good nail salon near me ????????
My nails always look nice but it's a very dull customer service experience. Nothing to note stands out here and staff do the job but don't expect above and beyond or to be pampered at all. It's strictly a sit down, get your service and get out type of place.
So this is my third HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with this Nail Shop. I, my staff, family or friends will be going to this shop EVER AGAIN!!… 1st time, i was sent to another location because they were busy. They apparently called. I went there and they tried to send me back to the same nail shop i just left… long story short, i went to another location. 2nd time was for my birthday… it took the person 1.5 hours to do a pedicure mind you she spend 1 hour just to PAINT!!! She kept messing up and i was so patience which caused me to leave and come back so i didn’t miss my spa appointment. The Final time was TODAY!!! I called to come in and they told me they were still taking walk ins.. i get there to get a fill and the same girl tells e that her boss told her not to take anyone else at 6:18pm when they close at 7pm!!! The staff had NO compassion WHAT SO EVER!!! I’m completely done with this nail spa now i understand why people keep asking why do i keep going there when they are so bad!!! And the my answer is always because they are 10 minutes from my house, BUT NEVER AGAINNNNNNNN!!! I’m DONE with this establishment… and on top of that, my birthday nails were horrible, but they were going to charge me for another complete set to fix it. All i wanted was a fill… I’ll just take the extra trip and give my money and high tips to another business that care for their Customers!
DON'T GET KAYLA. I go here every 3 weeks, and I was getting them done with Kayla, but she would talk bad about every little thing that I did (tip, asking for a fix on my nail, etc.) in Vietnamese. I am Vietnamese myself, and I have never said anything to her because I didn't want to be petty. But today was it for me. She is so rude. She called me evil and unloyal and cheap even though she would upcharge me $25 for french tip, AND I would still tip her reasonably. She goes around telling all the nail ladies I am difficult when I just told her I didn't like how she did something a few times. As a customer paying you for service, the least thing you can do is to keep those comments to yourself. Also, if you don't like what you do, GET ANOTHER JOB.
I started seeing Tan, and so far he has been great. He charges reasonably, and he's really good at what he does. He asks me every step of the way if I like what he's doing so far. He also gives me options and asks for my opinion. He's great! Highly recommend seeing Tan!!
