I have been looking for a place that actually does a good job with acrylics. This was my first time at Modern Nails and I can finally say that I left the salon satisfied! Snow was the lady that did my nails. She was sweet and she did an amazing job. She listened to what I wanted and MOST
Importantly she didn’t do my acrylics thick like all the other places I’ve gone to did. I will be going back a second time!
I used to frequent Modern Nails once a month for over two years before COVID hit and they weren’t able to stay open. I recently found myself back again a couple of times this new year and they are still awesome! They are super quick, efficient, and friendly each time I visit. I usually always make an appointment just in case they happen to be busy but they are pretty good with walk-ins as well. The quality of my nails (and the selection of gel polish colors) keep me coming back! Since I started frequenting Modern Nails again, I have only broken one nail and can’t complain! With other salons, I was having issues with polish chips, multiple nails breaking, and sometimes uneven nail length/shape. My go-to is an acrylic rebase with a gel polish and I typically end up spending around $45-50 total afterwards. Other nail salons might have cheaper prices but for the quality I receive, I don’t mind paying a bit more for the appointment. Shout out to all of the friendly and talented people who work here, especially Jen!
While the staff were very kind and the prices weren’t bad, the overall experience was pretty subpar. I got the deluxe gel pedicure and there was no massage or scrub. They literally just put the scrub/lotion on and called it good. I thought maybe she would do the massage after the nails were done since it was gel, but she instead took over for the person doing my friend’s nails. There was no one else there so it’s not like they were busy. Overall, they were nice but I would not return or recommend. The salon is clean and has massage chairs.
They are such hard workers! They were a bit understaffed so my nails took a bit longer but everything came out exactly how I wanted it! They are great conversation and they try to keep you as updated as possible!
I used to love this salon, but I don't know if they got new owners or what but the place has changed for the worse. The prices were raised while services were cut (for example the new guy charged me $20 more but didn't offer the hand massage twice now), the paint chips off my nails within 3 days, and the whole atmosphere has changed. I have gone every other week for over a year and I'll really miss the place. I give 3 stars because Dan and Kim are still there and do a great job!!!
Edit: I am changing my 5 stars to 1. My nails chipped the next day. When the old owners were there my nails stayed good for at least 14 days. I don't like being tricked into having to go back to spend more money right away. Mind you, i tip Ben well. I will be finding another place to go . Sorry guys, your quality is not as good as it uses to be.
Had my full long Coffin ⚰️ombre set done today, Kim was very quick and on point. I'm very happy with them my daughter and her friend also got pedis an one nail dip, one full set was in and out in about 1 1/2 hours! Thanks Kim and family you guys are awesome as always!!❤️????????
I’d never recommend this place my nails chipped the next day after I got the shellac done! First off their power went out during my pedicure and so she didn’t have any light doing my nails I told her i did not like them and they were to thick she kept telling me she didn’t think so I told her the polish wasn’t on her nails I was already there for so long she only fixed one nail and it all looks horrible still I asked for a simple butterfly and she could not do the design
