This place is great! Very hard to try out nail salons when traveling and Mimi immediately greeted me, sat me right down while the salon was very busy and she did a fantastic job on my nails. She constantly asked me if everything looked good and she was very patient with plus she did my full set in under an hour. I will come back here because it was a wonderful experience and there were so many returning customers coming in which was a great sign.

Went in on 11/09 to get a last minute full set and pedicure before my birthday weekend vacation (it was suggested due to my time crunch) I absolutely regret it!! My birthday was Saturday 11/12 and by then nails had already started breaking, one broke, the others lifted near the nail bed before breaking completely. Not to mention the messed up cuticles on both hands and toes. No pumice stone used during my pedicure and I’m sure that’s a least standard. What put the icing on the cake when she told me my total ($110) and I had $100 cash and asked if I could use Apple Pay. She then proceeds to tell me that she gets charged a lot to use card and to pay all the cash and then we would still charge my card the difference (and charged $5 to use my card!!!) if I had the option to do it all again, I’d paint my own nails clear and keep that $100.

I was really impressed my Mimi and her cute little nail shop. I came here on a whim as i live 25 min away not knowing what to expect and I am so glad I did. Her nail shop is very well put together with cute classic decor and she was super quick. She did a great job with my acrylics. Please disregard that other person’s comments about Mimi being dominating. Its just not true. Maybe confident and straight forward but in no way dominating. I will be returning. I definitely recommend anyone looking for quick cute nails to book an appointment. You wont be disappointed.

I’ve been coming to this place for years for pedicures because they’re clean, conveniently close and good selection of colors. Thy take their time with their pedicures, not sure how manicures and nails are because I do my own. Pictures on acrylics from other customers don’t look all that great though! I like all the ladies that work there except Mimi herself. She’s so dominating and rude sometimes. Tips are like an obligation and she gets mad when you don’t have cash. Everyone these days pay electronically but there’s something fishy about this. I hope workers are not getting their tips swallowed up by the business.

Mimi's Nails has been my go-to (specifically for gel pedi or gel mani) for the many years being a Castro Valley resident. They accommodate anyone who wants a pedi or mani; all are welcome! Kids are welcomed too; pedi chairs can scoot up close for their short legs & Mimi has pillows for them if necessary. Spacious salon that's clean, bright, & fresh ambiance. Pedi chairs have multiple massage back options as well to incline or recline for comfort. 1 large TV on the wall for anyone getting a pedi/mani to see; captions on. I believe credit card welcomed, but CASH IS PREFERED! ATM machine next door or BofA across the street if makes sense for you. Mimi & all the staff are always friendly, professional, & do a fabulous job!

I walked in and expected to wait forever because it was busy. All I needed was a fill and to fix two nails that chipped. Someone took me in within the first 10 mins. At first, I was excited. Meant that I didnt have to be there an eternity. But she was rushing. Rushing terribly. The nail polish looks like my 9 year old niece did it and it's been two days and one nail already chipped off. Terrible work. Cheap prices though and now I see why.

Rushed work. See my cuticles? And the dried powder under my nails were ignored. I've had nail services way better than this.. Very unhappy and dissatisfied with this one. No attention to detail whatsoever. Definitely not coming back. Not worth your money. I

I recently moved to Palomares hills, so I thought I would give them a try. AWFUL! There’s a young lady working there that was getting bullied the entire time I was getting my nails done. She was on the verge of crying. They Vietnamese girl that was doing my nails realized I noticed they were bullying her, and proceeded to tell me that they were “joking”. It was really sad, all 5 nasty girls were abusing their coworker, meanwhile she was the prettiest working there. I will not return here, since I don’t support this kind of behavior.
