Best PlaceJuice Reviews

Mark of Eden was recommended by a friend. I had 2 children, one a girl and the other a boy, LONG overdue for haircuts. Both had a lot of hair that needed to go! The two stylists (I can't remember their names now) were so kind to my children, made sure the cuts were what they liked and wanted (very important - to me at least), and were done fairly quickly! The kids are so happy with their new cuts! At the end of our visit, as one if the stylist took my payment she offered each of my children some quarters for the gum ball machine! For my first visit, especially for children, I was so impressed!! I'm so glad we trusted Mark of Eden with our hair!
Tera is the best stylist I've been to. She is incredibly friendly along with everybody who works there. The price is great and they make sure I style!!
I've been feeling mentally rough lately and haven't felt pretty in awhile. I came in short notice and (I think her name was Sam) gave me a beautiful cut and style. I finally feel really cute! Thank you so much!
Tera did my hair for my wedding and it turned out amazing. And the conversation we had while she was doing it was just as wonderful as my hairstyle.
Moved here from the coast. Looked for a hairdresser that could do color and good haircuts as well. I asked around and many times I heard about this fellow at Mark of Eden. Made a appointment for color and cut with Steven. The best color I've ever had. The cut was perfect. I couldn't be happier. Would highly recommend Steven. Not a big talker but a master with color.
To those looking for hair stylists, this may be helpful: Never have I ever written a review before, but this experience with Mark of Eden in Jefferson definitely needs one. I came in for a color request, from a dark brown to an ash blonde. I asked the person working if my desired color was attainable in one round and she reassured me that it was, but a few inches needed to be cut off. I agreed and scheduled my appointment the next day. I came in the next day and left with tears in my eyes. Not only was I there for almost 6 hours (I was fortunate to have brought a friend along) , my hair was absolutely fried, a yellow orange with a light blonde patch in the back, and way shorter than I anticipated. The stylist offered to fix it by toning it the following day so I accepted the offer and came in to try to have it fixed. When I left the second day, I was crying even harder. Even more of my hair had been fried off, and I left with the same color I came in with. In the shower, my hair began to break off in clumps and was so brittle I couldn't even brush it. While I was in tears, my mom called Mark of Eden and asked what they put in my hair and if I could have a refund of my 75$. They told us to talk to the manager and when confronted she told my mother that "that's what hair is supposed to look like" and that I was told before hand that my desired color was not possible to achieve without many sessions. She continued to tell me that I just wasn't listening when she told me that, when I am positive that what was said was the complete opposite. When I politely and respectfully asked for my refund, the manager looked at me and said "I will not give you your refund, there is 60$ worth of product in your hair right now and that's money out of my pocket". I replied that I was not happy with the hair color as tears began to swell in my eyes, and she replied "that's the risk you have to take". I have never been more displeased with a salon or customer service in general. To make matters worse, after my friend (who had been with me through the whole process) reviewed Mark of Eden on their Facebook page, one of the stylists that worked on my hair commented "Lol" on the one star review which offended me that he would be laughing at a misfortune he helped cause, and overall was unprofessional and impeccably rude. After spending 75$ to have my hair fried TWICE, and 50$ to try to fix the abuse, I can firmly state that my experience at Mark of Eden is a 1 out of 5 star rating, and will never recommend services from this establishment to anyone.
All the gals/stylists are "up to date" on the latest styles! 4 or 5 stylists, but you must make an appt., no "walk ins" due to COVID-19!
Tera Shaw was absolutely wonderful woman.Very friendly very easy to talk to and she put alot of pride into her customers. The staff was all very friendly it gives you a warm friendly feeling as soon as you enter .....Great place to go

Quick Facts About Mark of Eden

Strengths: 1. Child-friendly atmosphere: Mark of Eden is praised for being welcoming and kind to children. The stylists take the time to understand the children's preferences and ensure that their haircuts meet their expectations. Additionally, the offer of quarters for the gum ball machine at the end of the visit shows an extra level of thoughtfulness towards children.
2. Skilled stylists: Multiple customers mention the skill and talent of the stylists at Mark of Eden. Tera, in particular, is highly praised for her friendly nature and ability to create great hairstyles. Steven is also commended for his expertise in coloring hair. The stylists are described as being up to date with the latest styles, demonstrating their commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
3. Affordable prices: The price of the services offered at Mark of Eden is noted as being reasonable and great value for money. This makes it an attractive option for those looking for quality haircuts and styles without breaking the bank.
4. Excellent customer service: Several comments highlight the friendly and welcoming atmosphere at Mark of Eden. The staff is described as being easy to talk to and making customers feel comfortable. This positive customer service experience enhances the overall satisfaction of the visit.
Weaknesses: 1. Failed hair color service: One review details a severely negative experience with a color service at Mark of Eden. The customer's hair was significantly damaged, and the desired color was not achieved. The customer also felt mistreated and received no refund for the unsatisfactory service. This incident highlights a breakdown in communication between the stylist and the customer, leading to a disappointing outcome.
2. Lengthy waiting time: One customer reports spending almost six hours at Mark of Eden, which is quite a long time for a hair appointment. Although it is fortunate that the customer had a friend with them, this extended waiting time can be inconvenient for other customers, especially those with busy schedules.
3. Unprofessional behavior: In response to a negative review, one of the stylists at Mark of Eden left an inappropriate comment on the customer's Facebook post. Laughing at a customer's misfortune is unprofessional and disrespectful. This behavior reflects poorly on the stylist and raises concerns about the overall professionalism and conduct of the salon.
4. Appointment-only policy: While it is understandable that appointments may be necessary due to COVID-19 restrictions, the requirement for appointments could limit the flexibility for customers who prefer the convenience of walk-ins. This policy may deter potential customers who prefer spontaneous salon visits or have busy schedules that make it difficult to plan appointments in advance.
In conclusion, Mark of Eden has several strengths, including its child-friendly atmosphere, skilled stylists, affordable prices, and excellent customer service. However, there are also weaknesses to consider, such as a failed hair color service, lengthy waiting times, unprofessional behavior from one of the stylists, and the appointment-only policy. These weaknesses suggest areas where improvements could be made to enhance the overall customer experience at Mark of Eden.
