A wide variety of products for everyone backed by experienced and friendly Customer service staff. It's well worth it.
They just don’t care about the quality of their products. This magnetic eye lashes didn’t work as it should be, it fells from my eyes, I tried to keep but it doesn’t keep in my eyes.
I couldn’t use even once, because is embarrassing use a eye lashes that fells from your eyes lol.
I tried to return it right the way and the store didn’t want to take it back. I spend $15 dollars in a horrible product that didn’t work and the owner doesn’t care about it.
Very racist people , I’m a profession hair stylist in Nyc . I go in and I’m followed around the store every time . Then when I call them out on it . They act surprised and want to argue with me . Don’t go in especially if you are black
They have great prices on hair color and I have found the employees helpful when I ask for help. I too get closely watched when shopping, but last time I was there they caught a woman stealing, so I guess they have a lot of theft. Don’t take it personally!
TL;DR - Scary customer experience - followed very aggressively in the store, physically blocked into the aisles. I had to call my husband in because I felt so unsafe! Out of concern for others, I really think folks should think twice before shopping here. When business owners are looking for thieves, they “find” them - usually in regular, law abiding customers.
Walked out without buying a single thing because I was so uncomfortable- I had to call my husband because I felt so unsafe! They follow you around the store - persistently - they also block the aisle so you can’t get out. It’s very disconcerting and frightening, and incredibly inefficient.
I used to shop here six-ish years ago and returned with fond memories…I’m not sure if the beauty supply is under new management but I’ve NEVER been followed this aggressively in a store. As much as I love their collection, it’s just IMPOSSIBLE to shop that way. When my husband and I spoke with the employees, they insisted they were just doing as told, but when we spoke with management they swore it wasn’t policy. Either way, I just feel like it’s a recipe for confrontation and disaster, and out of concern for others, I really think folks should think twice before shopping here. The worst customer service ever. I called to make sure they have a product in stock before I make a trip. Last time I went, they didn't have it and I did NOT want to make another trip. The girl who answered the phone clearly spoke English but she had no comprehension skills of what I was talking about. When I was looking for an Essie Nail polish that they carry but last time it was out of stock. She kept asking me to repeat the name and colors and she couldn't figure out if she had it or not. She told me to come to the store to see if they have it. To save that time and headache I will head simply go to Amazon or other online stores. If you want to survive and compete with other big named retail online stores, they should know better and have a better customer service person answering the phone or know what they have or don't have in stock.
Good product range; but as many have mentioned here customer service is extremely poor. I have been to this store many times and not a single time I heard “welcome, hello, or can I help you?”. Indeed all they do is a good job of staring. They just don’t care about customer service. It’s only that the products I need they have. Otherwise I would never shop there again.
I went to Manhattan Beauty to get a wig for a show I was doing. Mimi helped me find the PERFECT one. She knows the inventory like the back of her hand. She was i credibly helpful and fun. It was the third place I went. The other two had employees that didn't really know anything about wigs, which is not good since I don't know anything about wigs.
So go to Manhattan Beauty and ask for Mimi!!! She's the best!!!
