The new Mamma’s is everything expected and more. Amazing food, an awesome refurbishment, and fantastic staff. The best, authentic, freshly made, Italian food in Blackpool by far.
Lee, Claire, Paul, Chris and Marcus deserve all the plaudits they will ultimately receive. More power to you all. Mamma’s again will become our regular. Looking forward to working our way through the menu! Best wishes to all.
The meal I had here was the best Italian meal I have ever had and it came with purple potatoes!!! We arrived as a big party on a quiet night, they couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely recommend
Fabulous food! Menu choices were so different and fortunately not one trending style option available which made it all the more exciting knowing you had a selection of different foods to choose from. I have given a 4 star rating because we had to wait 35 minutes for our table despite booking in advance and also because we were unable to have a dessert as we had run out of time at the car park. I will be returning on a week day as I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere so much. Would highly recommend you try it but remember to book especially if on a Saturday. Looking forward to trying the baked peaches.
Food is delicious, service is awful.
We booked a table for 17 for a family celebration around 3-4 weeks before the night. Table booked for 6:30. We weren’t seated until after 7, and as we were seated they were setting up the tables. After 5 minutes of being seated they remembered the balloons for the event and just put them all in a tangled mess in the centre of one of the tables. Rather than seating us all together on a long table, the family were separated over 3 tables. We expressed that had we known we couldn’t be seated together we wouldn’t have booked. They said they thought upstairs would be ready but it won’t be ready for another year. Then why would you think 4 weeks ago that it was going to be ready?
You order a drink at the bar, and despite having a till and card machine, they send you to the booking/main desk to pay. The service is VERY slow. 3 staff working the floor and all appear confused, rushed and stressed. The owner hides away and avoids all confrontation and complaints and they just give you a free garlic bread or drink to make up for it.
It’s a shame, because the food genuinely is delicious. But the running of the place is awful. Owner needs to take some initiative and sort it out instead of hiding from customers.
First visit after many years. Love the refurbishment and new decor, really stylish and bright! The food was actually delicious; one of the best lasagne I've had in a long time! A couple of the waiting on 'lads' customer service was a bit rough around the edges.
A very disappointing experience. I would love to review the food, but aside from the complimentary olives we didn't get to eat anything.
Positives: Nice complimentary olives while we waited.
Negatives: We waited 30 minutes for our pre-booked table. Once seated we ordered our food and didn't see anything for 45 minutes, we also weren't asked for any further drinks orders.
I chased up the food only to be told the kitchen hadn't received our order taken by the waiter. We had a show to see at 8pm and by this point it was 7:15 so we had to cut our losses and leave having eaten nothing.
I have never witnessed such lacklustre service.
Came this evening as a party of fifteen for my sons 30th birthday. A little bit chaotic with the seating arrangement, but staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food was absolutely outstanding, and I was very impressed that everyones meals were served together, fantastic work chefs!
The staff worked tirelessly with smiles all evening, nothing was too much trouble.
I can confidently say this is the best restaurant I've eaten in.
