If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I researched kid salons to take my son for his very first haircut for a while and this place ended up being my choice due to the good/high reviews it had. I wish we would have went somewhere else. My son had very long fine hair and I just wanted it shortened with scissors no clippers used. We arrived on time and there was a wait which is fine and expected. After telling the stylist what I wanted she began cutting away and when she was finished I immediately could see she did not do a good job. I’m no hairstylist and could see the hair wasn’t properly blended and super uneven. There was hair uneven on the bottom of his hairline and before I could say anything she said “sorry we only get 15mins for the cut”. No where did it say there was a time limit for haircuts especially for a toddler. I left dissatisfied but when I got home I really saw how horrible of job she really did. It’s chopped all over and was just done absolutely horribly !!! I waited a long time to cut my sons hair and have such regrets. We now have to wait a week to have it grow out a little and take him somewhere to get this horrendous hair cut fixed ! DO NOT go here they do not know how to cut hair what so ever and they put a time limit on each kid. These high reviews must be false cause seeing the finished style there’s no way this place has so many positive reviews. Hairstylist was Sonia. I was very excited to find this place as I normally travel to Astoria Queens for our hair cuts. My daughters and I had a HORRIBLE experience! Business owner Sonia was terribly rude. Upon entering Sonia was rudely sending her employee home who was approaching my daughter to cut her hair. Clearly both workers were frustrated and were not interested in helping clients. The “ stylist” started spraying water on my daughters hair without asking what style she wanted or even washing her hair. When I asked what style she would cut her hair. She answered we “only cut hair”.. Should mention we were never greeted. The young women behind the counter tried to help as the Sonia rudely dismissed my questions. The customer experience terrible and the vibe was aggressive. Needless to say I will never be back or recommend Magic Cuts for kids to anyone.
They do a great job in calming my child during haircuts when he gets fussy. They keep it quick and fun - he loves sitting in the cars!
Love this place. First time taking my son to a kids barber shop and he loved it. I showed them a picture of what I wanted for my son and they had no problem doing it. My son was scared at first but the lady soothed him and calmed him down. Will come here all the time.
Today was our first time coming here & we will be back! Sonia gave my 7yr old son a haircut and it was the best cut he's ever received! She was kind and loving and so was the rest of the staff. Thank you for the wonderful experience! ????

best place to get your kids haircut , the girls work quick and help your child feel comfortable. i just brought my 1 year old and didnt know what to expect or how he would react , but our hairstylist Ana did so good with my son and his hair cut came out so cute. They even give a little certificate for first haircuts , its a really cute experience
Took my 10yo there for the first time. Definitely will be a returning customer. Sonia was cordial, fast and professional. She literally took only 15mins to cut my son’s hair and it came out perfect! Loved it!
