Really quaint little cafe (thou after wandering York discovered there's several of them). The lunch definitely didn't seem worth the price but the free 3 salads expand on that. Definitely tasty and really well made. Something to go back to and try a few others.
Amazing food at a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and attentive and everyone in our party were very satisfied after.
Lucky Days on Parliament Street. Excellent coffee!! I have the egg scramble on toast with mushrooms, their bread is thick sliced, grain, wonderful flavor. My wife has the fruit and yogurt bowl and we share a blueberry scone. Do the same and you will not regret it. We experienced a long queue on the weekend, no wait Tuesday or Wednesday (breakfast). This is our second trip to York, Luck Days is our morning Go To. We stay at Rowntree house nearby.
We came here for breakfast, the food is absolutely beautiful! We can understand why there was a queue to get in!
The service however could use some improvement. We witnessed people waiting outside for more than 10 minutes when tables were available. Staff didn't engage with customers and seemed annoyed if you stopped them to ask a question.
Nice coffee shop, I had cappuccino, my wife had got chocolate.
We both had the blueberry and orange scone, these are really nice. Prices are average, service is OK, not much of an atmosphere but it was clean enough with comfortable seats.
