Some of the best service i have received at a nail salon, despite how busy they were. Henry did an amazing job getting the exact shape i like and Nancy took the time to get the details of the design just right. This is my second time here and I will absolutely be back for my fill ins! The only thing i wish I knew ahead of time was they only take cash for tips, so be sure to bring cash so they get what they deserve for their hard work :-)
Today as I was doing some Christmas shopping I decided to give le petit nails on Shorewood a shot, prior to my arrival I had called to ask if there was availability, I also asked for the wait time. The lady that was on the phone asked me what service I was looking for. I specifically informed her I wanted a Christmas design, she then very politely told me to come in the shop and that I would be taken care of. When I entered the shop the lady recognized me when I told her I was looking for the Christmas design and told me someone would seat me in a couple mins, I waited more than half and hr before I was seated. After waiting for a while this gentleman asked me to go to table # 4, as a first time customer I was very confused since there are no numbers on the tables and there are two rows, this guy noticed my confusion and directed me where to go, he then started on my nails and asked what I was looking to get. I explained about the x-mas design and showed him some screenshots for reference, As time went by he started working on my nails and was very rough, he hurt me like 3 times and never apologized, at some point I asked myself if he was doing this on purpose. Once he was done placing the acrylic he then asked what color I wanted I was confused because he never told me which design he was willing to do and I hadn’t picked a specific color. He then got upset and used these exact words in a loud tone “you were waiting 30 mins and could not pick a color that whole time!?” I said “excuse me?!” he then repeated what he said and I told him “no!” I am waiting for you to let me know the design you can do based on the pictures I showed you! I was extremely furious with the tone and attitude this man was giving me as I was paying for these services just like the other ladies who were there. I told him to forget about the design and I ended up going with a basic red color as I did not wanna stay there much longer.
I am thankful that I found this salon. I needed a last minute appointment and I was able to get in the next morning with no problem. I had a manicure and then a pedicure which was AMAZING! The young lady did such a great job and she was thorough and timely. I was done in a timely fashion and I highly recommend this salon.
10/10 would recommend. I called ahead to make sure I could walk in. They were kind of busy but I was sat immediately! Such a sweet lady who did my pedicure. The only thing that caught me off guard was that I could only leave a cash tip. That sucked because I only had $5 on me and the lady that did my pedicure deserved so much more… I know before y’all say atm, I am from out of state and drive trucks and my Uber was like 1 minute away so I didn’t have time. I will definitely be back again if I am ever in Chicago on my break again.
I was sat and asked to pick my dip nail color from the board which is very normal. When I gave the technician the color i’d like she returned with 4 containers of powder, opened them all up, and said “pick one.” Obviously at this point I’m confused, because as far as I was aware, I had already chosen. I’ve also had my nails dipped before so i’m very aware that the color of the powder does not represent the actual final color. I told her I wasn’t sure and asked if they would look the same as the powder looks, the technician said “yes that’s the color.” I asked her if we could try the one closest to my color to see if it was right and she completely ignored me. She does all my nails and low and behold it was nowhere near what I chose. I’ve never had such a confusing experience nor a technician not familiar that the powder color and final color are very different.
Have been going for a while, new people that own it. Overbooked and had me go with another tech. I specifically see one, Nancy. They are starting to just push and go with people since new ownership. Two days in chipped nails (dip).
This is my third time coming to the business and another job well done! I left my old nail salon because of their work and the time they take to make the shape just right. I will gladly continue to come, just make sure to make an appointment!!
Sara literally gave me, hands down, the best pedicure that I have ever had. Her attention to detail is amazing. It was the first time someone asked to dremel my toe nails. The place is clean, the staff are very welcoming and the prices are affordable. 10 out of 10 recommend.
