I had an appointment on Monday June 1st to get a full set and a pedicure. I was glad to see that every employee used PPE, and most customers had masks on as well. They also had the floors marked every six feet, and used every other chair/booth to spread everyone out. The manicure stations had a shield between the tech and the customer. The pedicure was great.
I wasn't satisfied with the way my nails came out, but Charlie set up another appointment for me to come back, and I'm very pleased with his work.

This place is ABSOLUTELY THE WORSE PLACE EVER. I have had my nails done by many different people, but by far this place doesn't compete to any of them that I have been to. I called them two days after I had my nails done an they told me to come back an they would fix them. Fix them is not what they done. I get the SNS done every time an that is expensive but when they "fixed" them, they just applied more powder on top of what was already on them. So in stead of them looking nice they look thick as hell. I would not recommend anyone to fo there at all.
My two girls and I have been getting our nails (hands and feet) done at this spa for the last three months or more. For the most part they have been decently done. We have never been 100% happy but continued with their services. On any given day they are only staffed by two...at the most three techs. There is always long wait times, skill set (for all) is very limited/basic and we have been burned many times by their tools.
Last night, we had to walk out. They advised on my last visit that a new set was needed. Before arriving, I removed my own nails properly. I did this to cut time there and prevent them from hurting my nails by removing them with their tools.
The tech glued a nail tip to my thumb that was too big. She actually glued the tip to Skin on my thumb. I advised her off this in which she kept talking over me...trying to convince me (speaking English) that it was not so. She then starts talking to the tech beside her (in their native tongue)and grabs the drill/buffing tool. The other tech did not reply. I informed her that she is not going to remove the tip with that. I advised her that it should be soaked off. She got up and talked to another tech (in their native tongue), came back and said that someone else can do my nails in an hour. I had already waited an hour for services.
I asked for a large soaking bowl and remover. After removing the tips myself, we left the spa. My hands and nails look horrible.
I visited La Vie on Friday(6/21) for a color change on my toes and was serviced by Nehal. As my toes were being polished, I had serious doubts about the quality of work that was being performed but I thought " I can live with it for a week or so" until I have a full pedicure done at another salon that I frequent. I chose La Vie for this simple service because it was convenient & there having been no wait the two previous times I had been there and one of those visits was also for a color change. After she finished, the tech has to use a lot of remover to "clean up" the many areas of my skin that has polish on it.
Before leaving, I had to have 4 nails redone after putting my feet under the dryer for more than 12 minutes then removing the separators thinking they were dry. Two of my toes were so completely messed up that I felt a step must have been missed during the application because it was if I had not spent any time under the dryer. But I tipped her anyway not because I was satisfied with the quality of work performed but because she was very pleasant during the initial service & the "repairs".
However after looking at the poor workmanship for 2 days and having spent $18 including a trim & the tip, I called the salon and explained that I wanted to have my toes redone because they looked awful. I spoke to Tina (?) around 3:30 who initially advised me to come by tomorrow or else I would have to wait an hour or more because they were "busy". Since tomorrow would not be convenient doe me, I told her that I would call back in an hour or so to see if they were still "busy". They close @ 6:00 so I called back at 5:23 and no one answered after not getting an answer upon blocking my number & calling again, I decided to take the 5 minute drive there to see just how busy they must be since they didn't answer the phone.
When I arrived, there was only one customer & two technicians there! I explained the situation to Kim and showed her the poor quality of work performed & told her that I would like a repolish. She asked who did them & although I did not know her name at the the time, the other tech that was servicing the one client remembered me & told her it was Nehal. Kim then told me to come back tomorrow and Nehal would redo them, I told her that I did not want her to because of the poor quality of work initially performed.
She then very rudely explained that if she polished them today she would charge me. I have been getting manicures & pedicures for YEARS & have had to return on occasions for "repairs" either due to quality of service or a mishap on my behalf so I completely understand that your original tech is expected to take care of you. However due to the circumstance, I felt that for the sake of good customer service; I should have been taken care of instead of being talked to so rudely by Kim. The other tech actually stopped servicing her client to speak to me after seeing how rude Kim (who rudely advised that she only works on Sundays) was being. But oh after getting her name from the other tech, she wanted to know why. When I told her that I would be writing a review and not returning, she came running out to my car to apologize.
*I know this is a very long review & it is one of the very few that I have ever written. However, I am tired of the poor customer service that is experienced at so many establishments today where they seem to forget that they are dependent upon us to thrive. Although I don't write many reviews, I very frequently read a business's reviews before patronizing it.
re
Nice clean place. But the last 2 times I have been they have cut one of my toes. Both times it bled and this time it’s very sore so keeping an eye out on it. They offered no kind of discount for their errors. This last time the lady painted everything but my toes. A lot of their polish is dried up and they have to add something to. I will not go back.
This place is fantastic! They are super clean and did a fantastic job on my mani-pedi. I also took my mom who had very specific requests for her pedicure (she had ankle surgery a few weeks ago) and they did a wonderful job for her as as well. We will definetly be going back!
I normally only get pedicures done here, but I was in a rush so I decided to get my eyebrows done. Big mistake. They burned my eyelids so badly. I noticed redness when in store, but that's normal for me. Later that night, I had stinging paid. Looked in the mirror, and I definitely had burns on my lids. The pain is even worse today. I don't know even know how to treat it!
I did like the pedicure service but NEVER AGAIN on the brows!!!
I came all the way from Michigan and got the best pedicure Ever!! Thank you Snow! I will definitely be back???????? She had her work cut out for sure!!
