Lovely little authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Holloway!
I came across this little gem on the weekend with my husband, we ordered starters and mains and the food was exceptional. The fresh smell of garlic and herbs surrounds the resturant and the food was delicious. I will definitely be back soon to dine again!
Absolutely horrible, the worst restaurant I have ever been to. Pungent smell of mold in the whole restaurant. The food was barely eatable. The bread in the bruschetta was soft/soggy, and definitely not "homemade" as written on the menu, the onion and tomato mixture was very probably frozen, or had been made a few days ago.
Nothing italian about this restaurant
Local greasy spoons seem to have gone all posh.
I was only really looking for a morning fried egg roll and mug of tea.
The menu was all pizza and lasagna but I asked and they were happy to do an eggy snack and a cuppa.
Got poached eggs on brown with a pot (ooh) of tea and it was awesome. Eggs were spot on.
Nice place, too with some outdoor seating with planted enclosure.
Even though I was looking for low grade I was very pleased with this more refined offering. At a fiver my snack was prob no more than a fancy bun and oatmilk latte up the road.
Living in the area for few years now, we have obviously been a couple of times at La Mia Cucina: despite being very picky in term of Italian food, we have never been disappointed by any dish here. Decent prices for delicious quality food. Recent refurbishments in the restaurant (decoration, new seating, atmosphere) & staff are also lovely! Definitely a little gem on Holloway Road ;-)

Rude, overcharge and then the staff watch you and talk about you while you eat as you complained.
Been here a few times usally very nice but today we asked 2 chicken mozzarella and Avocado meals and "JUST a plain omelette" for a child (very small child) we even pointed to the child.
Firstly the menu states that the sandwiches can be ordered before 5pm it was 4.46pm and the small guy was really funny about us ordering it.
We did state it says before 5pm.
Small guy took the order all smiles and was really nice, when the food came out we explained that not what we ordered they brought a whole adult meal. Omelette, chips and salad- even put the plate infront of a adult, just shows you they knew a child couldn't eat that.
The little man got very angry and trying to tell us that's what we ordered, which was not true.
Told me to take it away, I explained I don't want a whole meal and it should of been his job to of checked if we wanted chips and salad as we asked for JUST A plain omelette.
So disappointed with the service and the attitude of the staff. When this happened (explained the food was wrong) the staff then decided to stare at us and talk away to themselves about us.
Then charged us £4.20 for a kids omelette!
Now I always recommend here to everyone as it's usally a nice atmosphere and nice food but unfortunately if the small guy doesn't like what you order or even gets the order wrong he gets mad, very mad.
Unfortunately we won't be going back and certainly not recommending here any more.
They rip you off!
Any good restaurant would say oh I'm sorry I thought you meant a whole meal and just take it back, but no they blame you and you have to fight to have it taken away then over charge you.
Great food. We had the mediterranean breakfast and it was exceptional.
