Upon entering the shop, I was nervous because it was my first barbershop. I'd gone to salons to have short cuts before but always left unhappy with the cut and with its price. I'd tried to go to a barbershop once before but was given dirty looks until I left.

Granted I did bring a friend with me, but the barbers were nice and I think they had a lot of fun watching my longer hair turn into a low fade. My friend that came with me teased that I should simply get a mullet halfway through(because I'm from Tennessee). Whatever energy you bring with you and into this barbershop will be what your experience is.

One of the barbers commented on my blue hair and we started talking about the hair dyeing process.

I didn't talk about myself a lot, it was all very casual conversation, but I felt welcome there. I'm autistic and find it hard to engage in conversation sometimes, but they made it easy. I'm a trans man, though I'm nearly positive they thought I was a lesbian. Either way, they were kind and conversational and I got a great haircut for 25$.

I highly recommend this shop to anyone for any reason. Take your family, play some pool or old school arcade games while you wait for everyone to get their cuts.

My husband is picky and he was so happy with Mingo! Mingo finished his cut in 20min and did an excellent job! I know he will continue to go to Mingo! Thank you for giving my man a wonderful cut and making him happy!

My son and I got our hair cuts and they had us looking great. Very professional with lots of attention to detail. Barbers were super friendly with a relaxed atmosphere. Our go to barber shop from now on.

I’ve been taking my son here for years, Chino always does a good job. The guys are friendly and don’t make you feel unwelcome. Great shop.

Personally I get cut with Mike. They’re all good though and if you call ahead of time they can usually squeeze you in any time of the day. My original barber is in Bradenton, but I come here and get the same great service I have been with a barber of 6+ years. If you’re north of the bridge and need a good cut in a timely manner this is definitely the place to come.

My son looks good! BUT after his cut from Headz Up, he looks so clean. My son has fun here. Very nice guys. Great cuts, and facial clean ups.

I get a military flat top. Technician did not know how to do this. I understand it is a skill to cut a flat top. Another technician gave a lesson and I must say they did a very very good job.
