This has been our favourite Chinese takeaway for over twenty years.

How good is it, you may ask. Its almost ten miles from home and to drive there and back takes about forty minutes, but it is definitely worth it.

The staff are really nice and the food is, well, its good enough to spend forty minutes in the car to eat!

If you haven't tried Koon Yum yet, make sure you pay them a visit, but please be aware that once you've been, you may find that you're not so keen on your previous favourite Chinese takeaway.

Great food freshly cooked, always busy so that's a good sign. Very friendly staff. Have been going for a great number of years and always been excellent. One of best Chinese takeaways around.

Always great!! Just the same complaint the queuing system and cash only....doesn't effect the food tho....great!

Food is delicious. Portions average size but the quality of ingredients is very good. We had sweet and sour pork- no gristle or fatty pieces, and melt in the mouth beef in the green peppers and black bean sauce.

Consistently great food and lovely service. Been using them for years and even now we’ve moved further away, we always take the chance to go whenever we’re nearby. Food is always hot & delicious, and the staff are always fast and friendly!

Definitely not happy with out order yesterday we've used koon yum as long as I can remember but doubt we will be going back

Love this place. Been going here for years. Moved from Bolton to Bury 8 years ago but still drive back for a Chinese about once a month! Cant find anywhere to beat it!

First time here and pretty much the best chicken fried rice I've ever had. Quick service and 5 star hygiene rating. Slightly let down by not accepting cards
