Best PlaceJuice Reviews

Best fish and chips I've had in ages. Went previous to the new owners and it was poor but the chips yesterday were delicious, the right amount of crunch and the fish delightful.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or go again.
Ten thumbs up.
Update
Just been again and it was just as nice. I don't know the secret of their chips but they're delicious.
A lovely quaint shop with such big personality from start to finish I was impressed the welcoming bunting outside to the lovley smile waiting when we stepped inside ! The chips hot tasty and fluffy and the fish just perfect and crispy and delicious but the real star of the show the tartar sauce just divine ???? recommend highly and will return xx
Proper chippy! Just be aware you can’t get vegetarian options due to frying in beef dripping
First time to this fish & chip shop yesterday the fish and chips I cannot fault but the 2 ladies in there need a lesson in customer service so rude no please and thank you when my husband placed the order was told abruptly to stand and wait outside until it was cooked i could understand this if they we're busy but apart from a elderly gent waiting outside the place was empty manners cost nothing even after my husband thanked them and said goodbye.
The best fish and chips in Wakefield.
Brilliant friendly staff good size portions and cooked to perfection.
If you like fish and chips, treat yourself, you won't be disappointed
Great friendly service
Tasty big fish and chips
Best fish and chips around by far
Great fish and chips... ring and order them, usually just coming out of fryer when I get there... so at least you know they have been cooked fresh for you and not been stood in warmer.
Best fish and chips we have had in ages! Freshly cooked while you wait by lovely staff. Beautiful white fish and great chips. Will definitely be going again soon.

Quick Facts About Kirkhamgate Fisheries

Kirkhamgate Fisheries, according to the comments received, appears to have several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation. These strengths include the high quality and taste of their fish and chips, the delicious and crispy chips, and the secret of their chips that customers are intrigued by. The shop is also described as lovely and quaint, with a welcoming atmosphere created by bunting and friendly smiles from the staff. The tartar sauce is particularly noted as being divine and the portion sizes are described as good. Additionally, the friendly and efficient customer service, with staff members cooking the food freshly and promptly, is highlighted as a positive aspect of the place. The fact that customers are encouraged to ring in advance to order their food, ensuring that it is cooked fresh upon arrival, is also praised. Finally, the establishment is commended for being the best fish and chips in the area, with many customers planning to return.
One of the weaknesses of Kirkhamgate Fisheries, as mentioned in one comment, is the lack of vegetarian options. The fish and chips are fried in beef dripping, which means that those who do not consume meat are unable to enjoy a meal at this shop. This limited menu may potentially deter potential customers who have dietary restrictions or preferences.
Another weakness highlighted by one comment is the poor customer service experienced by a specific individual. The customer felt that the two ladies working in the shop were rude and lacked basic manners, as they did not use 'please' and 'thank you' and instructed the customer to wait outside without justification. This negative encounter might discourage potential customers who value polite and friendly service.
In summary, Kirkhamgate Fisheries is largely regarded as a fantastic fish and chip shop with excellent food quality, taste, and portion sizes. The deliciousness of their chips is especially praised, along with their secret recipe. The shop is described as quaint and welcoming, with an efficient and friendly staff that provides great service. The weakness of the shop lies in its limited options for vegetarians, as the food is cooked in beef dripping, and in the poor customer service experience reported by one individual. Despite these weaknesses, the overall positive feedback and high recommendation from customers suggest that Kirkhamgate Fisheries has far more strengths than weaknesses and would be an excellent choice for fish and chips.
