Everyone experience is different so here is my honest review. Moving from New York to Ga 3yrs ago looking for an African braiding shop similar to back home was a challenge. Being recommend by a friend I tried Kaba. Me personally I never experience what some of these other reviews have I mean it’s an African braiding shop so you know what your are coming for. I’m not use to them having to wash my hair, in NY we come with our hair washed so that’s how i always come here. It’s always been an in and out thing for me maybe because i go during the week, now the weekend that’s another story. A lady by the name Georgia is the ONLY person in the shop who I let braid my hair . I tried others in the shop they were good too but Georgia takes her time she has a little conversation if you don’t like something she fixes it before you leave. Her customer service has always been great. I don’t let 2 people in my head at a time you can tell them no just one and they say ok . The price is super affordable and all the ladies in there pretty much say hi when you come and bye when you leave. Call book with Georgia I promise you will not be disappointed.

I was already told the price over the phone…when I showed up suddenly the side convo started, then trying to convince me to get box braids….I told them my budget & still.

The owner is lucky She didn’t get hurt pointing combs in people faces demanding $10…for washing my hair.
I refused,after waiting 3 hrs & the sloppy cornrows this lady attempted to do in my head!
I made her take it out!
On top of that…suddenly no one else does cornrows.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!

They are very much mediocre & below average to want more money & have the nerve to charge top tear prices.
THIS PLACE IS THE WORST!! DO NOT PATRONAGE THIS BUSINESS! They are rude and very unprofessional. I took my kids here twice and the worst experience both times. The first experience, my son gave the stylist a style he wanted that had only 5 braids. It took them literally them 5 hours and the parts were crooked. When I asked the rude stylist if she could do two braids over and make parts straight, she immediately caught an attitude and started talking in her native tongue and told me she would just take the hair down and not do it over….how unprofessional!!! Second experience, appointment was at 8am, we arrived at 7:35am for my 9 year old. We were there for 9 hours and then two stylists got into it and started physically fighting in the salon and the cops were called!! I can’t make this up!!! This place needs to be shut down!!!
Great work! But if you're getting box braids be prepared for an all day event. I hold my braids while they're doing them so they don't hurt as much the next day. Waist length with a pop of blue. Going on week 2 and still look fresh and even been to the beach with em.
I go here to get my hair braided all the time, the price is reasonable and theydo a great job
Although I set an appt I didn't get seated until over a hour later and the price they originally quoted changed. Now Kaba did call me the next day to make sure I was ok and offered a discount on my next hair appt. So I do consider that great service
My daughter's braids always turn out neat and lasts for 2 months. Remember they only take cash.
For the love of God, do not support this business. I REPEAT do not; I see the reviews are 50/50 and maybe those that have gone before had a better experience. Yet, this place is disgusting! Food and hair alike share the same spaces, and God forbid if you schedule a time slot with them. They’ll lie to get you in, they don’t wash their hands in between clients, and even if you give them an example of the hairstyle you want they’ll blatantly disregard your request and make your braids so tight my edges are almost nonexistent; I told the hairdresser I had thin hair when it comes to my edges I asked to make the braids bigger. Granted it took two hours after the schedule time frame and eight to actually do my hair. Why? Cause they try doing three people’s hair at once leaving you to sit sometimes for 15min-30mins, even sometimes using the excuse to tell you they only take cash for you to go to the atm across the way and they walk away without further words. I came to them due to the reviews and rating thinking their poor “customer service” was due to lack of conversation. Not just taking your money and wasting your time for an entire day. They’re rude and talk about you in their native tongue, not knowing some people can understand. Literally my braider got rough with my head when I was having a headache from her tight braiding. It was an experience I’ll never pay for ever again.
