Great place for men’s perm. Soyung is very kind and detailed in her work and I’m very pleased with the results!
I called a bunch of places to do a Korean perm for my son, and finally found Soyoung at Joyful Hair Salon. I was so glad, because it saved me a trip to Los Angeles. He was very pleased with the outcome; and so was I, that a week later I decided to get one myself. I called Soyoung again and had her cut my hair into mid-length layers, then to give me a Korean perm. I'm glad she asks for exactly what I want, and she works pretty quick too! I've never had someone cut my hair so quickly! She's so kind too, and makes me feel welcome.
Called to ask if they accept walk ins, Kathy interrupted me and said No, No, No. I called back later to set up an appointment for a hair dye. Soyoung was 18 mins late and during the hair process she was working on her moms plus another gentleman's hair. She was all over the place with the 3 of us, the man even yelled at her for not dedicating herself to just 1 client.
My hair turned out botchy, charged $300. She was such in rush and I unfortunately couldn’t argue the price at the end, it was done. But beginning she quoted “ hair dyes start at $50” I assuming it would be close to the same price she charged me 6 months ago, $160 which she even said “srry 160 so expensive”. But Christmas is right around the corner. Disappointed
Terrible highlights!! I had to change color a few days after because owner did a terrible job. Only bleached and killed my hair, added no color. Ugly job. Paid almost $300 …. Sorry but this place does not know how to highlight hair
Soyoung stayed open a little longer to give me an end of the day haircut. She did a wonderful job and washed my hair afterwards. She is very good at what she does and I’ll definitely be back again! You can call ahead and make an appointment which is very convenient.
Went in as a walk-in and received a wash with my haircut. It was shorter than I wanted but nevertheless a great cut ! Very happy with my hair

I went there for a keratin treatment. If you have coily hair (black woman hair) DON’T COME HERE!! They proceeded to keep sighing while doing my hair (very unprofessional) and also made jokes about my natural hair type multiple times. clearly they do not know how to handle natural hair. they also were treating it as if it was wavy. they were using very small combs and not combs that work on my hair, my scalp was so sore after this!! and, it came out to 400 dollars???!! not to mention, when i washed my hair, the roots were still curly!! the only thing that was curly was my ends. never coming here again!!
