Joyce is a consummate professional. I have just returned from Joyce Hair Braiding again. Again, my daughter can not get out of the mirror admiring her hair!
Joyce has been styling my daughter’s hair for over three years after I found her online. Joyce has done box braids for her on many occasions. The braids have always been done beautifully with great attention to detail. After box braids, my daughter moved on to crochet hair styles. Again, Joyce listened to her describe her perfect hairstyle and and then delivered a beautiful result more than once. Every time my daughter left the house, she received lots of compliments!
Today, we went to Joyce with the intention of trying sew-in hair extensions for the first time. Joyce took the time to counsel us both about the extensions and her process for installing them. She even discussed the cons of using a closure in the front of her style. This is one of the many things I appreciate the most about being Joyce’s customer. While she is always willing to accommodate what you desire in a hairstyle, the health of a client’s natural hair is her first priority. If something is going to damage your hair in the long run, she is upfront about that possibility. She also checks in during whatever service she is providing to make sure that braids are not too tight and that you are satisfied with her work. No surprises today. Again, my daughter’s hair is gorgeous!
Despite all the experimentation my daughter does with her hair, it is still very healthy and growing with no signs of the damage that can occur with these types of styles. I would not hesitate to recommend Joyce Hair Braiding to anyone who likes protective styles and cares about their hair.

I highly recommend Joyce, (Joyce Hair Braiding Bolingbrook) to anyone who wants a talented hair braiding professional who takes her work seriously and makes client satisfaction her #1 priority. I was trying all summer to find a braider to correctly double twist my hair using the baby curl human hair I bought in NYC. I tried 3 braiders. Then my sister suggested I call her braider Joyce. Although she’s an hour away, it was well worth the drive. Prior to my appointment, I texted her pix of the hair and style I wanted. She assured me she could do it, and baby did she. She did an excellent job! I was in love with my twists, they held up well and got better with age. Thank you Joyce! May God continue to bless you, and bless us with your gifts and talents.
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience with Joyce! She did Marley twists for me today that came out so beautiful. She made me feel so comfortable throughout the process and braided so quickly and neatly. Very kind woman as well who shared a lovey prayer with me before starting my hair. Go to Joyce when you need your hair done, she is fantastic!

Joyce is very sweet and professional. My previous braider left the salon I go to and I needed a last minute appointment. Joyce was very accommodating and got me in quick. She even offered to call, if she had any cancelations, to get me in sooner. She prayed over me before starting and consistently checked in with me to be sure I was comfortable. She was very gentle when she needed me to turn my head (she put on a couple nollywood movies and I got a bit distracted lol). Overall, an amazing experience and I'll definitely be back.
What can I say about Ms. Joyce. She is extremely prompt and professional. My appointment was at 7 am and she was standing at the door waiting on me. I always like the way she braids my hair and the fact she remembers how I like it. She makes sure your comfortable at all times. I highly recommend her for your braids.
