I am very grateful for Jolof Hair Salon. I am in LA for work, and I was calling around for an affordable salon that could fit me into their schedule on short notice. Jolof Salon was pleasant, clean, and extremely accommodating. They accept cash and charge for payment.
They were very unprofessional, first of all I sent them what I wanted done. Then when I arrived they were trying to convince me what's best and what last long then starts speaking in their dialect when I disagree with what they are offering. I was charged $260 for a horrible work. My husband asked me to take down the hair immediately I got home. Just booked an appointment with a different stylist online. I ont recommend this place to anyone . Poor environment Poor customer service.

Absolutely absolutely love the authentic environment. Very culture with love and I will be coming back and back.
This is why it’s hard to support our own communities- I’m wary of African braid shops because they are always extremely curt and rude and never offer friendly or Informative. They are never forthcoming with prices. Bring your business elsewhere.
I must have had an apprentice or something. Was greeted by no one upon arrival or spoken to at all during the service. The lady at the station next to me was rude to two of her clients. The woman was very rough with blow drying my hair and didnt’ use any product while doing my hair. I only got 6 straight back cornrows. It looks like I’ve had my braids for at least week and I got them done an hour ago.
So, I ended up being a walk in because my hair appointment was cancelled the day of! I was so upset cause my bday was the day after . I was referred to this place and grateful they were willing to squeeze me in . I really liked my hair after . She did exactly what I wanted . Thank you !
The customer service is horrible. They talk loud amongst themselves frequently and they do not take the time to hear how you would like your hair done. This is my 5th and last time coming here. I have yet to leave feeling satisfied. The most egregious charge is that they are disrespectful and dismissive of their patrons. IF ITS YOUR LAST CHOICE THEN DO IT BUT AVOID COMING HERE IF YOU CAN!!
It was pleasant and comfortable, made feel at ease with the hair style choice. The stylists were friendly, and location is maintained cleanliness. When there was question was willing to answer. There was option for payment, cash transaction.
