John is a fantastic Barber! I've been coming here for many years. He pays attention to detail & makes it look sharp and on point. When cutting your hair he even vacuums the hair off you really nice guy!
This was easily one of the best haircuts of my life--both in terms of experience and result--and at a basic haircut price. My style is pretty simple/boring but still got a lot of compliments the next day. John was fast yet focused and meticulous. I don't think anybody has ever cut my hair with such attention to detail. (Also very nice and very introvert friendly!)
I haven’t found a better barber. None of the chain barbershops hold a candle to to John’s. Make sure to call and set an appointment, he’s a busy (and popular) man!
Fast, professional, and quality. One man show, the only thing I didn’t like was I felt I should have tipped more.
John takes extra good care of you and clean work space. I haven’t found a better cut out there. Also, John treat you well and I leave feeling ready to go tackle things without the itchy feeling. It’s magic!!
First time going and it was a great experience. He was fast and knew what I was asking for in terms of length left on the sides and top. He vacuumed the hair on top after cutting to prevent that usual neck itch after the haircut. Didn't talk at all which is relaxing because I'm there to get my hair cut and not socialize, but if he did talk to strike up a conversation, I wouldn't mind either.
Worth the 20 dollars, and I tipped because he actually cared about the job he was doing rather than just putting minimal effort in.
Recommend setting up an appointment over the phone because it seems like the day's schedule gets filled up too fast to reliably walk in for a quick haircut right away, but I called and was able to get scheduled for a haircut an hour later.
Great haircut! I'm not too particular about what I want but John was quick & efficient - but also took the time to make sure everything was in tip-top shape... even scissoring some stray individual hairs before he was done. I called the day before to schedule an appointment and it was easy to get in. I had been going to a much more expensive barber before but the price & quality here can't be beat. I'll be back again for sure.
My go-to since moving to N Seattle. John does a good job and is frequently available for same-day appointments (highly recommend calling ahead vs walking in so you don’t waste a trip). I prefer this 100x over big-name chain shops.
