Taking cash only which caught me out a bit, so come prepared. Plenty of seats to wait on my order. Very airy so relatively covid safe while I waited. Ordered two fish. Took probably less than 5 minutes. Fish was excellent and reasonably priced at £5.00. Very nice fish it was too. Not at all greasy which can spoil a fish for me.
Been going to Jimmy's for a few years now and honestly, I won't be going again. The quality of the food has gone completely downhill to the point where it is now sicking. The fish and chips are constantly well overcooked, soaked in oil and unbeatable. My wife and I have been left feeling sick after our recent purchase and will look for a new chippy.
One amazing chip shop! I wasn't expecting such good food from here but it really blew me away. Whole family loved everything they got. I have celiac Disease and their gluten free food was absolutely perfect for myself and my mum. Fantastic quality and not overly greasy as well. Will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone needing a good gluten free meal.
Great fish and chips and as good as deans in belfast at half the price
Gives me an upset stomach every time I eat here. Way too much matter on fish, peppered sauce is always room temperature and never hot. Staff aren't that friendly, and any complaints have not been handled. Sausages taste very cheap and processed. I personally find this chippy to not be in my taste and the least tasty in town.
This is a local chippy for local people. It's well set up for customer separation due to Covid restrictions. Staff are friendly and honest, an assistant came running after me with a dip I forgot. It's also clean. Portion sizes are reflective of the cost, maybe a good thing? Maybe I'll try again when life returns to more normality.
