Excellent Chinese take-away in the heart of Merthyr Tydfil. My wife and I went to Jen Chang because google was showing it to be the only take-away open (as all restaurants were full and didn't have seat). The staff were patient and suggested us a few good dishes that we might like. And, we both loved the food so much that we returned again a couple of days later to order new items. Their special fried rice with chicken, pork, prawns, eggs and vegetables are absolutely incredible !!!

PS - A suggestion would be to start accepting Card/Contactless payments. Insisting on cash only payment is annoying and at times, very inconvenient.

Tried this take away just once and Kung Po chicken was tasty, spicy and portion big enough. Unfortunately fried noodles wasn't too good, dry and tasteless. Staff very nice and kind. Apart of Chinese cuisine they offer F&C and more. Cash only payment. Cash machine next door.

It was fab, 30 years ago. Best curry sauce and crinkle cut chips. Now..........?

Update: 6th April 2023 - Best chips in town, have them open in a cone with proper salt and malt vinegar, huge portion. Best Chinese in town too, great portions and good big menu. Curry sauce pushing g towards "Hing Hongs, the best chinese curry sauce in the UK ever" (no longer available, God Bless Mai and the team) but needs to be a bit healthier and needs more pepper/chilli heat, that's my only negative, but over all very, very good. Get in there, you will not be disappointed.

Lovely Chinese best in Merthyr. Genourous portion size. Food is always hot when I get it back, so doesn't need reheating. Chips are always a favourite with us as they are tasty ???? Would highly recommend!

Ordered a few things. Missis picked it up. She got home missing the special curry but they stuck another rice in instead somehow. The rice was drier than ghandi flip flops. The noodles are greasy and the chips tasted like they was cooked two days ago. Worst Chinese I've ever had. Revolting stay clear.

We love the food here and have never had a bad meal in over 15 years. The best kung po chicken I have ever had. The place is small tho, only 2 customers at a time and although its busy we were served quickly.
