Kayla is a great stylist that know exactly what she is doing! She is very friendly and great to talk to! She’s great at listening to what you want! I can’t wait to go back and get my hair done again!
I have always used Emily for my hair and just recently had my hair done by Kayla and she was just as great and lovely !!! They are both educated and amazing with hair and so is the salon! I love the place and how it is ran, will always go back to them <3
Wow. Called to make an appointment as a new client. The reviews and recommendations were great so I was looking forward to a long o Eddie haircut. When I called I specifically asked for a stylist who was great with a bob/wedge. I communicate my hair was thick and long. I confirmed I was speaking with a stylist and NOT a receptionist. So my ask could not have been more clear. I arrived early and 20 minutes after my arrival someone finally spoke to me. (Red flag). When my scheduled stylist finally came out of the back to get me she asked what I was there for ( red flag). As I sat down I communicated I was looking for a Bob with a bit of a wedge and she responded with and I quote …. I’ve heard of it. It’s kinda like a Bob right? . The stylist next to her was shocked. I was shocked and proceeded to put my hair back into a barrette and go. Note two other stylist had a choice to intervene and chose not to. Telling me this salon cares zero for their reputation and their clients. I am beyond amazed how a reputable salon allows stylist to put scissors to anyones head who clearly has not learned a basic Bob cut. SHOCKED!
I am very scared concerning my hair I didn't get it cut for a good part of 8 years and I was terrified of having someone touch my hair other than me and I have absolutely no experience myself... my sister convinced me my hair looked like trash and I needed atleast a trim so I gave in and tried out this salon she recommended and tried Mrs.Kayla .. she was super sweet and understanding that I was honestly terrified of how my hair would look and feel afterwards .. but she did amazing never cut to much did exactly as I asked and made it look amazing and it honestly gave me so much piece of mind! I ended up going back about 8 months later for a color and cut and she did amazing again ! And I have to give her props because dying it alone took her 5 hours Cause of how thick my hair is but she was patient and took her time through the whole process

I first called the salon at about 6pm and received a call back within 24 hours, directing me to use the online booking site which was very easy to use. I had an appointment at the time I wanted within two days of booking.
Dustin was AMAZING and I highly recommend him! I came in with a few pictures of the highlights and low lights I wanted (a blonde and natural looking red) and he did such a thorough job and gave me exactly the color I wanted. In the past I have been disappointed because I've asked for "natural looking color" and then don't see a difference in my hair but still pay full price for low lights. No longer! One other added plus-the price was extremely reasonable! I was so surprised and pleased with my visit all the way around. I will definitely be returning to Jean Evan Salon and asking for Dustin again!
Johnny has been my stylist for 2 years now and does a fantastic job! It's why I will follow him anywhere in Columbus GA he goes. He is one of the best! Jean Evan Salon has awesome people and are extremely friendly. I will continue to get my hair cut their every couple of months!
Pretty disappointed overall. I've waited a while to post this review because I don't like to write out of frustration. Time only makes my situation more clear, and I realize I needed to leave my review. Simply put, I asked for lightening and blending, but received darkening and cover up (presumably because it's easier and can be done in one sitting). I asked to keep my length, but received a near shaggy bob. I did need to lose some length, but I went from hair that was past my shoulder blades to hair that is just below my shoulders. Exactly everything I asked for was done complete opposite despite me having photos and stating I was okay with multiple appointments. I asked for many layers and received none that came close either my jaw or check bones. I wanted a cool tone, and received a warm color. I paid and tipped because of the stylist's time, and my fear of confrontation and embarrassment. This was my one opportunity I take each year to do something fun with my hair and I've done nothing but fret over it. While cute, it is not what I asked for, and that is important. I would not recommend this salon.
Heather listened to my concerns and hopes for my first professional haircut in years. I was nervous, but she did an amazing job making my thin hair look full, pretty and professional. I feel so lucky to have found someone I can trust with my hair. After just one visit, I know I won't go anywhere else.
