I've lived in the area that JD and Jake's is in for about a decade now and only found it earlier this year. I gotta say that I really like this place for sure. The staff is always welcoming and friendly and it's a true barber shop vibe too.
Before the whole stay at home or you'll die mandates I would go to Sport Clips or Great Clips and they did a good job but the prices started to rise a bit. Then i started cutting my own hair. After the pandemic what used to cost me $23 became close to $30 after making an appointment and still waiting on walk-ins. That just sent me back to cutting it myself.
After finding these guys, I have them a try. Tim does a great job on my hair and I'm always happy with it. The guys are always friendly and they get me in quickly and efficiently. If I set an appointment, they are ready when I get there. Their prices are also lower than the big franchise places that push products and pay for TV spots. I would much rather support a locally owned company that works hard and really seems to like what they do than a company that you get lost as a customer in.
I was looking for a new spot that was closer to my house, and I found it. The atmosphere was great. Very welcoming set of people. While i was there, these two kids just got their haircut and kept saying, " aint no spot like the barber shop." it was too funny. Awesome crew here. Clean and quick. Eddie did a great job. Thank you again!
Tim is the man!! Been cutting my hair for the past 6 years now, every time I recieve a top notch cut, his fades are amazing and he remembers exactly how I like it every single time. Highly recommend Tim at JD & Jake's to anyone, all the guys here are top notch as well, can't go wrong with any of them.
Love this place. Old school barber shop. Reasonable price, few bucks more for an appointment. No having to screw around with a stupid app and try to time it. Fridge with beverages if you do decide to walk in and wait.
Jake set me up with a fresh cut, quick walk-in early in the morning even when they were busy. Some cool art and good chats to boot!

Excellent. I go to Eddie, he is absolutely terrific but all of the barbers there are great and you can't go wrong with anyone. Highly recommended!
