Had a strawberries and cream waffle from here and have to say it was one of the best strawberries and cream waffle compared to other places I have been to. The strawberries tasted fresh and we're soft in texture - a big difference as other places tend to use lower quality strawberries. The waffle was cooked to perfection and not overcooked like a few places I had been to in the past. This dessert was worth every penny and highly recommended!!!
Ordered 2 waffles and the owner trying to clean the waffle machine before use with the used vessel scotch-brite which is dirty and worn out , and poured the waffle batter without wiping the machine with kitchen towel on top giving lame excuse that they ran out of kitchen towels and it’s shortage in the market
Previous owner used to give Gelato ice cream with the waffles but the new owner giving some cheap ice cream and charging more on top 1 with full cup and the other with half cup
After change of new management I will not recommend this place no hygiene cheap product with pricey tag
Full marks to ice gem and the staff. Beautiful waffles and with them going the extra mile when we told them it was our daughters birthday, they went out to the shop and brought candles, bringing over a gorgeous (and huge) slice of cake for her to blow out the candles and take home. Highly recommend a visit to ice gem in shirley. Next time we are back in brum we will 100% be coming back. Thank you ice gem guys
The standard of this place has declined massively. The gelato is terrible tasting and they’ve raised their prices. It used to be a good place to eat at. The reviews on Google for this also seem fake and bought.
Had a cake n custard and a waffle they were amazing just the way we like it 5 star girls were very polite nice atmosphere actually very relaxing and clean will defo be back ....

Ho visitato questo locale che fa credere di servire gelato (leggendo la parola italiana in un paese non italiano ho pensato che sarebbe stato almeno un po’ più simile a quello autentico italiano rispetto ai normali ice-cream shops in zona). Quello che offrono loro chiaramente non è gelato italiano, questo si capisce dal gusto totalmente sintetico e dalla consistenza non cremosa come dovrebbe essere, anzi contenente cristalli di ghiaccio.
Il personale è freddo e poco attento alle richieste dei clienti.
