I've been waiting to go here for ages, it's only up the road from where I live but always circumstances hamper my plans????♂️
Father's day I got there ????
People I can safely say it was well worth it. The feel of the establishment was quaint and countryfied, coupled with the ambience and anticipation I was excited because I've been told of the food to which I was not disappointed. The roast dinner was fantastic, proper home cooked Yorkshire pudding and decent portions of meat and veg said my family. I however had the 10 oz sirloin cooked medium, belissimo. Very nice chips too.
This bar / eatery is also known for a specific ale ???? Bathams no less and what an amazing pint or 2 they were ???? the main reason for me going actually
If you've not been then put it on your list to do, the staff were great, friendly and attentive. Ask and you shall receive is my impression
I seriously cannot wait for my next visit
Very nice pub,had a pint of Bathum ale. Had a roast beef main, lovely meat,Yorkshire pudding and nice selection of veg. Followed with bread and butter pudding with cream. Good staff, nice atmosphere, looking forward to another visit
We went in for a lemonade and a lime and soda and the man wasn't very friendly. The lemonade was flat from a bottle and the soda was from a half full,(flat) bottle which he then threw on the floor and then opened a new one so it wasn't at all fizzy. He poured so much lime cordial into it that I had to stop him and both drinks were horrible and not worth the money £4.50! Sorry Huntsman. All we wanted was a cool drink on our dog walk.
Enjoyed a wonderful homemade steak pie cooked and presented beautifully. I hope to go again soon!
Lovely pub in the heart of beautiful countryside. Friendly staff, dog friendly and beautiful spot.
As always, the traditional country pub with good food, good friends and great beer .
A fantastic Father's Day meal in our local, friendly, charismatic pub The Huntsman.
The staff are charming and nothing is too much trouble. I even asked for more roast potatoes because they are so divine and got them no problem!
Quality meat and produce and delicious home made deserts at a very reasonable price.
Can't wait to return fabulous! ????
Much loved proper English pub. Chat a bite and a pint top combination Excellent well kept ale and fine foods
