Best PlaceJuice Reviews

I recently visited Hideaway Cafe and overall had a positive experience. The location in the city centre was great and convenient. The food was delicious, particularly the "BEAST BIG ONE BREAKFAST" which was a hearty and satisfying full English breakfast with big portions. The prices were also affordable. However, I did notice that the cafe could use some renovation and could be a bit cleaner.
Overall, I would recommend Hideaway Cafe for its tasty food and convenient location, but keep in mind that the decor and cleanliness could use some improvement.
Food was nice but only went in as saw the deal £6.95 breakfast with free coffee on posters in the window of the cafe. Went in and ordered to be told to wait till the end to pay. Came to the paying part and was disappointed to find out that it was £10 pretty much and not the advertised price seen on the building as I didn’t ask for any extras. Overall was an okay experience but won’t be returning unless they update prices on things as it was a downfall to the whole experience

Me and my partner visited this cafe this afternoon for lunch for what we thought would be a treat. How wrong we were! I don’t normally write reviews but We had to with this. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Disappointing as we pass this cafe everyday wanting to try it.
Upon waking in we noticed that the chef at the front of the cafe wiping his nose on his top dirty clothes and Half of it was unbuttoned and he had no beard net on. This was the first red flag. We stood for a moment to look at the menu we and was abruptly told to sit down and the waitress would take the order from the table.
After sitting down we noticed that there is not much choice at all on the ‘menu’ which was dirty, sticky and caked in food and needed updating. After being sat down for less than 2 minutes and had not had a chance to decide what we wanted the waitress asked us what we wanted to order. When we explained that we wanted 10 minutes to decide she was back every 2 minutes demanding that we placed an order. I ordered a sausage barm which come on toast and my partner ordered a full English breakfast and asked for no mushrooms which came with mushrooms!
When we were given cutlery it was filthy, and caked in food. The glass we were given for a can of coke was filthy and had not been washed. As she forgot our can of coke and we politely pointed this out she then rudely snapped and said ‘I’m getting that right now’ Which made us feel very uncomfortable.
I also found a black hair in my food. Probably beard hair from the chef! After my partner visiting the toilet he had a glimpse of behind the counter and it was messy and dirty.
When we were in there we just wanted to pay and get out. Never again!
Breakfast was greasy and covered in old oil, see picture of egg.
Latte was too hot, and tasted like hot milk.
Best bit was the toast.
Walked in at half 8, walked out 2 minutes later.. just opened for the day, tables all filthy, floor sticky, menus filthy.. no wonder it didn't get a 5 star food hygiene rating.
Enjoyed the allday breakfast. Pipping hot and well presented. Nice and tasty sausages.
Very slow service, 20 minutebwait for order to be taken, customers who arrived after myself had orders taken and food delivered before my order taken. Food very disappointing. Drink served 5 minutes after food arrived, teapot not clean, cutlery greasy and food served on cold plate most food was cold by the time it arrived. If you want something good to eat don't go here.
Great little cafe. Four of us had breakfast on Saturday morning and the food was delicious (Full Mega breakfast), service quick and efficient and reasonably priced.

Quick Facts About Hideaway Cafe

Despite having a positive overall experience at Hideaway Cafe, there are several strengths and weaknesses that can be identified based on the comments provided.
One of the major strengths of Hideaway Cafe is its convenient location in the city centre. Visitors appreciate the accessibility of the cafe, making it a convenient option for both locals and tourists. The central location allows for easy access to the cafe, making it a popular choice for those looking for a quick meal or a place to meet friends.
Additionally, customers praise the delicious food at Hideaway Cafe, particularly the "BEAST BIG ONE BREAKFAST." This dish is described as hearty and satisfying, with large portions that leave diners feeling satisfied. The positive comments about the food suggest that the cafe offers a wide variety of tasty options that cater to different preferences.
Furthermore, the affordability of the cafe is highlighted as a strength. The mention of a £6.95 breakfast deal with free coffee indicates that the cafe provides cost-effective options for customers. The reasonable prices attract customers, especially those on a budget or looking for a good value for their money.
However, there are also weaknesses that need to be addressed. A recurring issue mentioned is the need for renovation and cleanliness improvement. Multiple comments point out that the cafe appears outdated and could benefit from a makeover. Additionally, customers note that the cleanliness could be better, with reports of dirty menus, sticky tables, and unclean cutlery. This aspect reflects poorly on the cafe's attention to hygiene and cleanliness standards.
Inconsistencies with pricing also pose a weakness for Hideaway Cafe. A customer mentions being initially attracted by a breakfast deal advertised on the window, only to discover that the actual price was higher due to undisclosed extras. This inconsistency in pricing creates a sense of disappointment and can lead to a loss of trust from customers.
Another weakness highlighted is the poor service experienced by some customers. Slow service, frequent interruptions to take an order, and rude behavior from staff members create a negative dining experience. Additionally, the lack of attentiveness to customer needs, such as forgetting a can of coke or serving a dish with ingredients that were specifically requested to be excluded, further deteriorates the overall satisfaction of customers.
Furthermore, the poor cleaning practices mentioned by one customer provide insight into the hygiene standards of the cafe. Unclean glasses, dirty cutlery, and a black hair found in the food indicate a lack of attention to cleanliness and food preparation standards. This poses a significant weakness for Hideaway Cafe, as customers prioritize cleanliness and hygiene when choosing places to dine.
In conclusion, while Hideaway Cafe has strengths such as its convenient location, delicious food, and affordability, it also faces weaknesses in terms of renovation and cleanliness, pricing inconsistencies, and poor service. Addressing these weaknesses by improving the cafe's cleanliness, providing transparent pricing, and training staff to offer better service can help enhance and maintain the overall experience of customers at Hideaway Cafe.
