I was recommended to go here and ask for Anna or Amy because they do a fabulous job. When I went in Amy was working so I walked around the mall for a few while she was finishing up with her current client. She was super friendly and attentive, my only complaint is that she seemed a little rushed and didn't shape my nails to all be even. But to be fair I came in right before closing time so next time I'll make an appointment and give this place another shot! Overall I am happy with the experience and my nails look fabulous!
They were able to accommodate me as a walk in, but what I asked for and what I ended up with are 2 different things. They didn't have many of the colors offered on their swatches and when the tech was about to put the clear gel on I was confused as I specifically asked if they could paint zebra stripes on the tips and was told yes and when I reiterated that I was hoping for zebra stripes I was told they couldn't do it. The quality is pretty meh as it looks like I have 2 week grow out and it's been 4 days. Maybe I'm too picky since I used to be a cosmetology instructor, but 65.00 should have paid for a much better job. The final issue was I was asked to go to the ATM in the mall and pay with cash which caused me to incur a 5.00 fee from the ATM machine and a 3.00 fee from my bank. If I had known they were cash only I would have brought cash. As the ATM only gives out 20s I had to tip 15.00 as the lady followed me to the ATM and took payment then and there. I was also talked into a pedicure which was the least enjoyable that I've ever had as they were too busy watching the TV and rushing to get it done before they closed. My toes do look nice, but the overall experience was very lackluster. That's what I get for being spontaneous and not setting up an appointment ahead of time or ensuring that they had the colors I wanted in stock.
Sam did an amazing job on my nails! Super friendly and comfortable experience. My sister and I had a great time.
This place definitely mistreats customers. I had asked the price for a set of certain acrylics i wanted i then went to get the money just to return to them raising the price AND making me pay first which has never been the case making it seem as if I’m gonna rip them off. On top of that she did nothing but shove me around to get me to my seat instead of using her words. I was nothing but uncomfortable and felt unwelcome not only that but they wouldn’t try and hear my side, i do not see them as professionals and do not recommend this place.
I have visited Hi-Tek Nails with my girlfriend and have been here 5-10 times for service. As a loyal revisiting customer it shocked us our last visit here. My girlfriend walked in for a quick "Fill", while 3 employees played on their phones and seemed disinterested they let another customer who came in after actually cut her in line. When we noticed that the employees let someone else cut in line and receive service first, we spoke up and asked why. The employee said that someone from the back was coming to do her fill but didn't seem to care that they let someone cut and were rude about it. After about 5 more minutes of waiting and watching the other employees ay on their phone and now speak to themselves in another language we felt very uncomfortable and were just going to leave. Finally once we were walking out, one of the three employees doing nothing came over and started to take care of us. It was disappointing to see and made us feel very uncomfortable. I hope they treat their returning customers with more respect or quickly they will lose a lot of business.
Believe it or not, these are supposed to be coffin. I’ve broken 2 nails in less than a week by just putting pants on. The top coat is super cheep. They’re also over priced. I paid $50 plus tip for these… never again
I started with one lady, then she just walked off. Didn't say anything, just left. The second one literally spent 10 minutes doing the pedicure. She missed part of my nails when painting them . There were 3 people there, so not busy. After I showed her where they didn't have paint, she told me to not touch. Slapped some lotion on my leg and left it. Would not recommend to go here. But they don't seem to care.
The woman who did my pedicure wouldn’t even have me look at colors other than gel. Even after I asked multiple times that I wanted regular polish. Insisted gel would last longer. I finally gave up and said okay. She did them abnormally fast. (I typically go to Digits Relaxation and Spa, but was with a friend and she wanted to go here. My pedicure will last a couple months with digits and is always perfect.) By the time I was done, I was rushed to pay and leave. When I got home, I noticed she clipped my pinky toe nail at an odd angle, there was polish not covering my entire nails but some polish also actually on my skin. And not even 4 days later, some of the polish is coming off in clumps. It looks bad. Wasn’t what I originally wanted. The only reason they’re getting 2 stars is because she was friendly enough to warrant it. $45 ($52 including tip because I hadn’t seen the mistakes) was not worth it at all. Oh yeah! She asked for cash over card too. Which is weird and annoying.
