Excellent fish and chips, drove the food home 30 minutes and it still tasted amazing. Fully halal (apart from the pies).

Took my new Zealander friend to Barry island for fish and chips and every single one was shut! Luckily Harvey's was open and delicious

Barrys best fish and chips, been eating their chips since the 60s! I'm veggie now, but dad has the oap fish and chips at least once a week. I like the chips, curry sauce or a pineapple fritter ???? Fish is battered fredh and cooked in front of you no reheats or frozen batter here.

Fish is super fresh, you see them batter your fish on order. The chips are proper chips with plenty of taste. The selection of curry sauce is brilliant. Great friendly service and at a good price. Differently worth a visit.

Despite moving away from Barry, I still make the pilgrimage to Harveys, it is simply the best chippy for miles around.

The food is cooked fresh in front of you daily.

The fish batter is lovely and light, not the thick stodge you get in some places.

The service is friendly and efficient, and prices are reasonable too.

Lovely food and a friendly owner, always greeted with a smile and a hello. Fish always cooked fresh to order whilst you wait. The owner also makes his own curry sauces, which are amazing!

We went to Barry Island for a day out and by the time we came out of the arcades all the fish & chip shops were shut so we googled others that were nearby and found this one. The guy that served us was very friendly and welcoming, the portion sizes were good, the food was cooked fresh to order and delicious. If we ever happen to be visiting Barry again we will definitely be coming here for our food.

My only place for fish and chips ! Have been going to Harvey's for over 50 years now , always good food , staff polite and premises are 5 star rated for cleanliness. LOVE that it's still a traditional small business , no fast processes food thats cooked fresh often while you wait . Current owner is lovely , friendly and polite and knows all his regular customers. Good stuff !
