The aroma of a Chip Shop draws you in, but it is the good food and welcoming service that keeps you coming back for more.
Staff were polite, efficient and helpful to people with disabilities.
Cod, chips and curry sauce for my partner and a Steak Pie, chips and curry sauce for me.
Good portions at a reasonable price and the food was excellent.

Called in once because parking is easy now I wouldn’t go anywhere else in Leek. The food is great and very good value for money. The staff are very friendly. I would recommend the Fish Bar for anyone looking for a great meal with optional extras.
The haregate fish and chip bar/ shop is some of the best chips in leek. Great atmosphere for the locals. It also offers burgers, pies and a great kids menu for my 4 year old kid. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Everything you would want from a traditional chip shop plus a touch of Turkey and Cyprus to liven the menu. Lovely homely food. If you visit Leek seek out this venue.

Very disappointed. Thing I look out for in a chippy Customers queuing out the door check that's a good sign local fire brigade getting their chip supper check. Having to wait for food to be freshly fried check. So why only two stars. The batter on the fish was not at all crispy it was sort of thick dense and chewy. The fish itself well what can I say I ordered haddock and the missus ordered Cod both looked the same sort of grimey grey meat .you know how Haddock normally has skin on one side this didn't. The chips were dry and soggy. We were so hungry but couldn't eat this rubbish which ended up in the bin. Very disappointing as the Google reviews put this chippy as the highest rated in leek. So if your hungry and fancy fish and chips like we did don't go to Haregate Fish Bar or you will be disappointed too.
By far the best quality mixed kebabs in the area,and a really affordable prices.
