Brilliant takeaway, came across their pizzas by accident when my son wanted a Pizza earlier than the traditional pizza shops opened but they turned out to be the best in the area. Staff are great - very friendly and helpful. Can't say enough good things about Gills, will return again and again. And they are now on Just Eat for delivery!

Food is lush but the staff are horrible I asked for chips and a TUB of garlic sauce but the lady put it all over the chips took it back told her I’d asked for a tub not splattered all over the chips. she shouted with an attitude that I NEED to pay extra for a tub then snatched the chips of me she tossed them in the bin made me fresh ones. asked for a small amount of salt on the chips because she was angry at her own mistake she poured half a tub of salt on them then when she was finished she threw the chips back at me so when I got home the chips where inedible this member of staff has short blond hair needs to sort out her disgusting attitude problem!

Having ordered 3x cod and chips (2 small curry) and a pensioner cod fries and chips I was charged 32.50. When we got home all 3 chips were missing and only 2 cod fries were in the box.

I rang straight away and before I even explained that the chips were missing I was met with a very aggressive staff member on the other end - she blatantly knew why I was calling.

I know exactly what I paid as I handed over £20 x 2 and have the change still in my purse.

I have not used here in years and won't be again. Shocking service.

Some of the staff are really helpful and nice but the 2 guys who work there are ignorant and docile, they are serving you then halfway through your order the help one of the other staff with a delivery order, just unbelievable. The owners have one nice person the rest are horrible, Mrs Gill is nice and her daughter in law is nice but the others are horrible people.

I bought a chicken sandwich and asked for everything from the salad didn't get all of it.

Should give options for different bread types. Would like to see smaller portions and healthier versions like sweet potatoes instead of white potato.

Great fish (usually) and large portions...try out the Doner Calzone...even the small one filled 3 of us up...very tasty...not for the calorie conscious though!

Used this for years but lately, fish small n chewy, chips looked burnt, no taste and don't do a nice curry sauce, it has bits in. Not nice. No more will get our custom.

Been here pretty regularly for a good few years now. My mam convinced they don't sell fish, they sell whales with chips. Good choice, not least donner kebab which suits me to the ground, as long as I share some with our dog just for a bit peace!
