I went in for a pedicure and full set. I am pleased with my pedicure but my full set I am not. She rushed through the whole process when there was no need to. It was not busy what so ever. I normally pay $100+ for my nails but it was cheaper which I thought was a plus, but it didn’t turn out to be. I had to ask her to go back in and file my nails which she explained she wasn’t finished. I do not know her name but it’s the first desk when you walk into the back area. She hardly filed them, left them uneven, bulky and didn’t clean up the polish AT ALL! I am very picky when it comes to my nails which is why I don’t mind paying big bucks but this wad absolutely the worst job I’ve had done. Pictures don’t do justice for what the eye can see.
I have been coming here for 2 years and have not gone anywhere since moving to New Orleans. I love coming here on my days off, the service is phenomenal I am always so relaxed when I come here. I love getting nail art and they always deliver! If you are not pleased with something regarding your nails just talk with mimi and she’ll take care of it, everyone is always looking out for their customers to have a positive experience and for the customer to have an excellent service.
I am a loyal customer since July 2020 when I was introduced to dip nails and amazed at how beautiful they were and how long they have lasted each time they last me between 3 and 4 weeks and vice versa with my pedicures. The atmosphere is very cleanly and they have you wash your hands immediately after you walk in.. Thanks to the gel nails team,!!!!!
Beautiful Mimi does an absolutely wonderful at my nails and my designs!! Jennifer is WONDERFUL at pedicures!! This place is amazing, friendly and unbeatable
I’m only rating a 4 star because I always schedule an appointment with Ms.Ann to fill my nails and polish them. I scheduled my appointment recently on a Saturday and Ms.Ann filled my nails and the owner(Mimi) polished them all because they started getting busy.I’m not sure why do I schedule a appointment with Ms.Ann if when it gets busy they make someone else do them?Here I am afraid needing a fill so bad but scared to come back and the same thing happens because they’re busy on a Sunday.I understand if I was a walk in but I scheduled an appointment ahead of time so I feel like Ms.Ann could’ve filled and polished my nails.

I was very satisfied with my service on my first visit. I wanted a basic manicure and was unable to obtain the service from my usual salons as it was spur of the moment. I live near Gel Nails and Spa so it was very easy for me. I called and found out that I could walk-in no appointment needed. I arrived at the salon within 5 minutes and they took me right away. The associate who did my nails was very pleasant and engaging. So happy that I gave them a try. Close to home and convenience of walk-in is great for me. Another plus is that they are open 7 days a week. 5 star service on 1st visit.
***My next visit was not as pleasant. After waiting an extended period of time, another walk in client was taken before me. It was apparent that the client was well known to the associate but they do not work by appointment so it was not that she had an appointment and I was JUST a walk in. I left and have never returned. I would rate that time a 0 star. Only when I went to leave did they attempt to start my service but it was too late for me after being passed over.
Today was my first time coming here and my spirit was replaced with a calmness and peaceful environment. Angela did an amazing job and I will definitely be back I'm going to call this place my second home.
I don't usually write reviews. I've been coming here for a while & even recommended several people come here but that stops today. I felt my service was rushed & my patronage unwelcome. I asked for a pedicure & dip. I asked if my nails could be wrapped after seeing the customer who came after me have her nails wrapped during her pedicure. After waiting over an hour between pedicure & dip, I asked again if my nails could be wrapped & I was informed no one wanted to do my nails. Another customer who came after me was serviced first. My nail tech wasn't engaging at all. Just speaking her own language to other workers & barely said anything to me. I come here once a month, quiet, & mind my business. Felt like she wanted me out the chair and shop Asap.I spend an average of 100-200 if I bring my mother & godchild. I'm never ugly or rude. I referred over 6 people here, 3 of which won't return. After several of my referrals complained i still came back but after today I won't & the nail shop won't care anyway. They care about your money not your satisfaction or treatment. And probably not the money either as customers are seem replaceable. I finally see what they complained about. It's more than just the service it's the experience. The pedicure was good. It's the irony of waiting but then my service being rushed.
No need to refuse service when I never plan to return. There is a difference between efficiency & rush. If you didn't feel comfortable servicing me that should've been said when I made the appointment & this whole experience could be avoided. You still serviced those that came after me before me. Every negative comment about this business is the same...rush & rude. Thank you to Jennifer for my pedicure & the reason most people still come there.
