My daughter loves her braids. Very neat and clean, and fast service. Pleased with the service
I was charged $200 For a Horrific Micro braid style. I brought my Brazilian hair which was $90 per pack so i also lost out on the cost of those. A Braid tech that apparently had absolutely NO skill in this area was assigned to my hair! It took her nearly 8 hours for which she stopped a quarter into my head and twisted a Man's hair- told me it would take 30 minutes and ended up twisting him for 1.5 hrs. Just terrible. As seen on my pictures below she used different amounts of pinches of hair- the braids were skimpy- hair sticking out-fuzzy looking - student legnth braids-ect just Freaking AWFUL! I wanted to cry when i got home and i had to go to a Family member Funeral the next day looking like i was in a Cat fight. One of the other Stylist that was there the day of the catastrope was Caring and Professional enough to contact me back due to the fact that the Owner kept ignoring my calls and texts to her.
I wouldn't send nor refer Anyone to go here with this dispicable Customer Service.
I paid 240$ for sengelease twist. They are bigger than what I’m used to. The lady did not take the time to trim the fuzzy hairs off. I do not feel like my hair is full. It’s hard to put it up in a ponytail beings my crown is not how I like it. I’m just disappointed & I paid a lot of money for something that is only going to last a couple weeks. This will definitely be my first & last time getting these ladies service.
My daughter had a 8am appointment I told them she needed hair included I get there they had no hair. I ended up going to get hair. I politely deducted it from how much they were ch
arguing me. Her hair wasn't all the way twisted, and it looks a mess for $200 they will never get my money AGAIN!!
I scheduled an appointment for my hair to be done on Wednesday. The lady I spoke with told me to come at 9 am! I get there and no one showed up. I tried to call number and business number was forward to a cellphone but no one answered!!! I was waiting with 2 other people as well. I never got my hair done from them????Luckily my cousin was able to do it for me last minute. I will not recommend this shop to no one EVER!!!! Will continue to give my business to more professional people
I called the day before to get a price quote for faux locs, she said it was $190 with hair included. I got to the shop the next day and was told that they didn’t provide hair for my hairstyle so I ended up getting box braids. Literally a week later a few braids fell out of my head. Fast forward a month and my hair looks like I’ve had these braids in for 4 months. They are very unprofessional and rude. And the place was disgusting, I will not be going back here literally a waste of time and money
Very unprofessional, always switching price, took 9hours on my hair. They need to bring Mrs.Mary back I will not be back unless Mrs.Mary comes back. I paid 220 for my braids to be long they braided my front long and didn’t braid my back all the way down. “Mama the owner she talks on her phone loudly all day. I couldn’t even take a phone call of my own because she was so loud and rude!! I’ve always got my Hair braided by Mrs. Mary this is the first time she wasn’t there. I got my hair braided on several different occasions, however this is the first time I have ever had any of these type problems I stayed in there for 9 hours. Very disappointed!!
Not professional, rude, and very inaccurate prices. I drove to the shop the day before I received services to get an accurate price for the size and length of the braids I wanted only to still be given a different price as usual the very next day when I went for services, I was quoted $180 only to be charged $215 when I arrived for my appointment, after my hair was finished and I looked in the mirror and I realized my hair was not what I asked for I let Mama (the braider who quoted me the price) know that the length of my braids were not long enough and not $215 worth, instead of her fixing the problem she insisted that it was what I asked for and I still was charged $215. I have said this several times but I mean it this time I will never shop with them again, please don't spend your hard earned money with these people, they are bogus!

Quick Facts About Fatou's African Hair Braiding

Fatou's African Hair Braiding place has received a mix of positive and negative comments from customers. In order to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the establishment, we will examine the comments and categorize them accordingly.
Strengths: 1. Neat and clean hair braiding: The first comment praises the neat and clean service provided by Fatou's African Hair Braiding place. This indicates that the salon pays attention to cleanliness and hygiene, which is an important factor for customers.
2. Fast service: The same comment mentions that the service was fast. This implies that the salon is efficient and values its customers' time.
3. Caring and professional staff: One of the negative comments states that one of the stylists was caring and professional enough to contact the customer back, despite the owner ignoring their calls and texts. This shows that there are members of the staff who genuinely care about customer satisfaction and go the extra mile to address complaints.
Weaknesses: 1. Inadequate skills and poor quality of service: The second comment describes a horrific experience with an assigned braid tech who had no skill in micro braiding. The braids turned out to be awful, with inconsistencies in hair lengths, fuzzy hair, and a generally displeasing appearance. This indicates a lack of quality control and expertise within the salon.
2. High prices and dissatisfaction with the final result: The third comment states that the customer paid $240 for Senegalese twists but was disappointed with the size, fullness, and overall look of the hairstyle. They felt that they paid a significant amount of money for a service that would only last a couple of weeks. This suggests that the salon's pricing may not align with the quality of the service provided.
3. Poor customer service and communication: Multiple comments highlight issues with customer service. One customer's daughter had an appointment but was not provided with the necessary hair and had to deduct the cost from the payment. Another customer had a scheduled appointment that was not honored, leading to frustration and wasted time. Additionally, there are complaints about unprofessional behavior, rudeness, and loud phone conversations by the salon staff, particularly the owner. These experiences indicate a lack of professionalism and proper communication with customers.
4. Inaccuracy in prices and dissatisfaction with the final result: The final comment describes a case where the customer received inaccurate pricing information and was charged a different amount on the day of the appointment. Furthermore, the customer was unhappy with the final result as the length of the braids did not meet their expectations. This demonstrates a lack of consistency and accuracy in the pricing and execution of services.
In conclusion, Fatou's African Hair Braiding place has certain strengths, such as neat and clean service, fast service, and caring staff. However, it also has notable weaknesses, including inadequate skills leading to poor quality service, high prices not commensurate with the result, poor customer service and communication, and inaccuracies in pricing. The salon could benefit from addressing these weaknesses to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
