All the ladies braids nicely, I never had an issue as of yet. But there is 1 thing I would like to point out is that , they really need to do an upgrade in there everything is so outdated & been that way ever since I can remember YEARS AGO!!! This was the very 1st hair braiding place everyone use to go to back in the days & for it to look the same exact way is crazy!!! The prices went up like everything else has but, come on now they can make it look better then it's looking. Make the customers feel comfortable sitting there getting there hair done.

This Shop Is Not Professional. I Walked In And Asked for Small Knotless & The Braider Started Doing Medium On Me. When I Asked Her If She Would Be Able To Make them Smaller She Said Yes And Then Proceeded To Not Only Take Out My braids But Tell Me To Get Out. The first thing she said was “ I like money “ which I was confused about because I was going to tip her as I done with my previous experience. She told me that she didn’t know how to part small and wouldn’t continue my hair because she didn’t know how to part smaller then she was which was confusing cause I was paying for small braids. And instead of coming to a resolution she kicked me out of her shop very nasty

Fanta and her team do an amazing job with hair braiding. They are professional, fast and efficient. The prices are very affordable. I've been going to Fanta's for almost a year and I'm loving it.

Best braids ever. They are super fast and the braids last longer. The price is affordable too. It’s best if you make an appointment before you go.

Hair came out lovely it only took her two hours on my head.it could be longer if she would had did the braids longer

She always does me and my daughter's hair! She does a good job, the braids are neat and my hair lasts 4 months or more.

I visited here with my man to get braids. I keep braids in my hair as anyone following my Google reviews knows. But the African woman who does my braids couldn't this day and my man wanted to just get it done. I wish we didn't. All the braiders braids so tight you'll see your scalp folding. The pain lasted 4 days and twice I had to run shower water through my whole head on top of spraying conditioner spray in it all day everyday. My man and I both got scabs in our heads.

In all I do not recommend this place for African hair braiding in NYC
