Number 1 beauty supply store! The customer service is on point and they are super friendly and knowledgeable here. The prices are decent and they are always opened. When I was living in Englewood I was bypassing other stores just to come here and now that I have moved to Bergenfield I still come here. I believe it's a Son & father who own this store. They are both great, keep up the great job!
This is close to my house and they have all the products I need for my hair. They never disappoint one of the best beauty supply stores in Teaneck.
First time at the store. I was greeted immediately in a friendly manner upon entering. I was asked if I needed assistance and a someone was called to help. The man was very helpful and patient with me as I consider my options. I ended up buying hair products almost $150 worth. I would say a little over price but then again I’ve been shopping on Amazon and we are in COVID-19 pandemic so prices have increased everywhere. I appreciated the customer service I received. Four stars because I did not really explore the entire store as I found what I needed right away but more importantly I do not think the KN95 masks I bought is authentic. I should have known better buying from a beauty supply store. Nevertheless it should not be there as KN95. It means the money they made from me for a product is not up to task intended. Yes I will visited the store again for product.
So I looked up local beauty supply places and Ebony beauty supplies had a high google reading. However that had to be in regards to the product selection because it certainly was not in regards to their customer service. The man behind the counter never acknowledged me as I entered the store and proceeded to clip his nose hairs or mustache with scissors, all while talking on the phone. I was checking out the product that I needed but needed some assistance. As I approach the counter where he was sitting and looked him directly in the face, he never made eye contact or stopped cutting his hairs to ask me if I needed assistance. After about a minute, I asked my questions and another man appeared and assisted me. When was time to pay, Mr cut his hairs rang up my purchase. I asked if there was a discount off of my products and he started speaking. I asked if he was speaking to me and he put his fingers up to his ear motioning that he was talking to the person on the phone and not me. His treatment of me was abominable and if I wasn’t pressed for time I would have simply walked out. I will never, ever shop there again and will implore anyone that I hear wanting to shop there to not do so. There is absolutely nothing Ebony beauty supplies in Teaneck New Jersey sells that you can’t get somewhere else.
The owner is mean, rude, and looks at everyone as if were going to steal from him. He needs to learn a bit more etiquette, on how to coexist with potential customers. His look alone makes you want to leave the store. Even when I say thank you have a good day he doesn't look at you or responds. I've said it Numerous time's over the years.
I believe he may have been robbed or attempted robbery, maybe his excuse, but he needs to know we all aren't criminal's. By the way I've lived here 40 years, and he hadn't changed. It's Very Sad.????????????
Ebony has everything for natural hair. The old man knows his stuff and is very helpful in helping me find the right products for my hair. Their prices are lower than everywhere else I've tried. Been going here for at least 10 years. I have moved twice takes me almost 20mins but I still make the trip. It is well worth it.
This is my favorite beauty supply store. They always have what I need and always carry the newest products! They have a wide variety of hair, hair products, and hair accessories, (almost everything). Their prices are great and the workers are helpful. I've never had any problems there. There are others in the area, but they never have exactly what I'm looking for, are priced a little higher, or try to rush me into buying things when I'm just looking around. Check them out.
