Best PlaceJuice Reviews
Taking into consideration my extenuating circumstances, this business has managed to compound the misery. I understand budgets and profit margins, so when I get charged THE MOST and receive THE LEAST from an establishment I just know someone at the top is being greedy and exploiting the common public. There are only 2 or 3 motels available in the next 50 miles... Most people just want a bed. They have the funds to fill in the gaps for convenience and supply, such as adequate cell coverage with wifi/hotspot, or even a budget to get the nicest room possible and a grocery budget. I, however, have been forced into the circumstances by acts of nature, and while trying to provide emergency shelter and heat for my daughter and myself, I chose this business from the online prices, looking for the best bargain I could find. The price online was listed at 85$ and my total charge, which was debited IMMEDIATELY, came to 125$... a 50% markup for "Taxes and surcharges"... This was applied at the very end and was only noted in the receipt informing me of the total that has been charged to my card.
I was not eligible for a refund since I made the reservation for that night and lacked the 24 hours to give notice of cancellation. No refund would be applied until several business days later and I have no more money to go rent a better room.
Now that I am checked into the (VERY COLD) room, there is only one bed (The site listed 2 queens) and the wifi is not working and the window heating unit is blowing cold air requiring my daughter and me to stay bundled in our winter coats under the covers. The room has a smell that says the BARE minimum has been done to clean it. I know this from working as a motel cleaning lady... I know why that funk stays in the blankets and walls.
The cable advertised only has 20 channels and most of them are paid advertisement.
Thanks for the shelter when we had no where else to go but f-u for exploiting the situation. Next time I'm going to pay the extra 40$ willingly for a room at Super 8... at least there the money reflects in the stay.
You get what you pay for. It was some place to sleep. Would pay $20 more to stay some place nicer but options ARE limited in the area. (LOL, Towel rack fell off the wall in the night and gave us all a mini heart-attack! :-)
Bare bones.sufficient.
Showerhead too low for adults
Coffee could be stronger
Short walk to restaurants, great location.
I had a reservation at this place which they cancelled only a few days before I arrived due to a large group that came which they gave my room to. My guess is that they were told either the whole group stays or they are going elsewhere, and they saw enough dollar signs to forget about customer service and loyalty. I have lived and worked on the road for over 12 years, stayed in 100s of hotels and motels all over the country and never had this happen. And reputable hotels DO NOT do this, even in Grangeville when there are fire fighters staying, etc. NO ONE cancels existing reservations to give the room to someone else. Greedy and unprofessional.
Great motel for the price! It's older but no complaints here! Plenty of hot water, tons of pressure, quiet, 2 blocks from downtown, bed was comfy and the lady that checked me in was so nice! I guess if I had a gripe it's about the shower head, I'm 5-9 and it hit me across the shoulders!, little low! But with the outstanding water pressure it was like getting a massage!
Only issue i had in room 22 was that not all the lights worked in the room. Other than that the front desk gal was super friendly with myself and my brother. Easily a 5 star review but knocking it down to a 4 start due to the lighting issue in that room.
On a long motorcycle ride, and stopped at the Inn. Linda was great with a friendly check in, and placing me on a ground floor with each Bike and trailer parking. Room clean, amenities were good, just the thing I needed after a long day on the road. Rate was good. In the morning, Lois had placed two towels on the Bike to clean the windshield and chrome from bugs! Never had a hotel/motel do this in 20 yrs of long rides. Great Idea since hotels go through towel like crazy, so the idea of recycling for cars or bikes of those staying overnight was Great! Continental breakfast was "weak", but I was only there for the bedroom and bath. Will definitely stay there on my next trip past.
Room was great , nice new comforters, smelled good ,The lady at the office (Melanie) , very friendly, went way out of her way to help us ,We were 4 hrs from home on our motorcycles, it was pouring rain. Bless her heart what a great employee ,The Room was clean, and the showers were awesome lots of water pressure, we will be back, Thanks againelanie keep up the great work!
