Literally the worst experience ever!!!! I contacted this braiding shop for medium size knotless and expressed that i had somewhere to be by 12 ... they told me to come at 6am and said i would be done in time .... when i arrived the lady that was did my hair did not arrive until 7 oclock !!!! Then when she started doing my hair she started at the back and only tried to put two braids at the very last row ... i told her thats not going to look right so she put 3... i asked for my hair to my butt and my hair went all the way down to my calfs... when doing the ends of my hair i seen a roach .... i then left at 1:30 and my entire day was thrown off... not to mention the sizing was way too big, the braids were way too heavy, and i has no versatility to my hairstyle .... how she braided it was how it had to stay to look decent... i could not wear side parts (and it like nice) i couldnt wear it in a ponytail cause it was way too long and heavy... braids buckled all throughout and parting was odd... i contacted the manager and she told me to some in to see if it would look flattering in a pony tale/ side part but there was no guarantee that she would fix my hair because no one else complains about medium size knotless.... not to mention when i took my hair out i lost alot of hair due to tension and inproper knowledge of how to do knotless .... IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO DO SOMETHING JUST SAY THAT !!!! IF SOMEONE MESSES UP ON BEHAVE OF YOUR BUSINESS THEN FIX IT !!!!!!worst experience ever !!! Save your edges and Dont waste your time or money !!!! Seriously ridiculous !
Highly ghetto. Would not recommend. They open at 7 everyday and don’t get there until they feel like it. Then have the nerve to catch an attitude and tell you they aren’t doing certain styles because it was a holiday the day before. I see why clients punch on the workers they deserve it. It took everything in me to not tear that place up. Do not spend your hard working money in there. I might run out of there without paying.
DO NOT AND DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!! I got my hair done here and it was a disaster the worker was rude and when she was about to do my hair she told me she could only do medium because she closing early and if they part the part smaller they charge 30 dollar extra my hair look a mess. While she was doing it because in the middle of the braiding I told my boyfriend I didn’t like it she lied and said she didn’t feel well and she needs to stop I said Yu are a liar and she needs to finish my hair she left hair out and everything this is not what I ask for. She was super rude DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE THIS SHOP NEEDS TO BE CLOSED DOWN I WISH WE COULD CALL THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU because this is ridiculous if I could give a negative 1 I would. If i could give this place negative 0 stars i would. Worst place ever. Poor customer service. They only know how to do KNOTLESS BRAIDS. I showed them the style I wanted, after waiting 30mins they said they couldn't do it why don't I do Knotless braids?. Very unprofessional and rude. Very poor customer service. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY THERE. Go to GiGi's 285 South Orange Avenue in Newark. Excellent customer service. They also know how to do more than Knotless braids and they did the style I wanted affordable and professional. They also dont braid tight. I hardly felt her braiding my hair. I love my hair.
My first and last time. I’ve never experienced nonsense like that. Called days early to make sure I had an appt. I show up on time, they tell me and 5 other ppl they don’t have enough braiders to do our hair. I said I had an appt, they just ignored me and stared. Wasted my whole morning, and I live an hour away so I was gettin my hair done either way. Luckily I was able to find another place that was able to take me. She took her time, did it right, and I loved it. Don’t waste your time with this place. They like taking peoples money, but clearly don’t care about the people they takin it from.
BRAIDING FIGHT CLUB ON 11/22/21.
1st called day prior to confirm availability and time. Spoke to DEE DEE herself told me on 11/21/21 to come at 8:30 am the next day. I get to the shop on 16th street at 8:30 am the shop appeared to be closed. Then I see ppl walk-in. I parked walked into the shop DEE DEE was screaming. Apparently, the employees were in the shop at 8:30 am w/the store front gate still pulled down so customers would think they shop was closed. DEE DEE telling me to sit after I told her what I was there for and I spoke to her the day prior it’s now 8:45 am. DEE DEE yelled for another 2 to 3 hrs while she had me and another customer waiting for her. Before she started the other customer she had lunch. Yes, by this time it’s 11:45 lunch time. Then around late 1:45 pm I finally get DEE DEE to start my hair. WAIT ….a full fight breaks out w/DEE DEE and her employee who overcharged the customer. DD returns the customer money however a full blown attack of DD on the employee. Then DEE DEE BS on my hair pics attached and then two employees go at it.
Meanwhile I missed my daughter’s college basketball game I should have been driving to in Maryland at 2pm. It was a completely wasted day as if I had no life and then it was offered to come back the next day for WHAT! I have a job just like you and I respect PEOPLE time unlike DEE DEE. I will never pay for ANY services at any of DEE DEE hair braiding locations. Each time from the last 3 years I’ve been a customer it’s always always drama and unprofessional. Exactly what the employee was saying. I missed my daughter’s college game for straight BS bad business.
Be WARNED…all the bad reviews can’t be lies and my pics of how I went home today at 3pm.
