Was there yesterday and was a bit disappointed suya was nice but gizzard had to much oil in it told the waiter and she just ignored me she was also so clueless about everything. Sasha wasn’t really giving as I feel like no one knew what they was doing overall bad service bad food not going back

I have recently moved to the area and found the D'luxx restaurant through the Meerkat (2 for 1) app. The reviews seemed good and I love trying new food. I made sure to call first, book a table and state that I would be using the discount. Everything seemed fine when I called and specifically mentioned I would use the meerkat meals, the answer on the other end of the line was "okay". Upon arrival I couldn't clearly tell who was working and who was chilling at the bar except for the waiter behind the bar so I tried to get his attention at which point a man who had his back to the door said "can I help?". I mentioned I had booked a table, he seemed a bit surprised and gestured to the tables saying "sit where you want". This was very unwelcoming, the restaurant was empty aside from one table and the gathering of staff at the bar which lead to an awkward atmosphere. When we were ordering I mentioned the Meerkat offer again just to clarify which items were applicable. The waiter said "that offer has ended", I assumed he thought I meant the recent 'eat out to help out' scheme so I stated I meant Meerkat meals...It's on the app... I called.. He looked like he never heard of it and would ask the manager. A few minutes later he returned saying yes, that deal is no longer available (despite still being clearly on the app and us calling in advance). He then said "is that going to be a problem?". At this point I should have taken the warning signs and just left but we travelled to eat and were looking forward to some nice food. We stupidly persisted and I wish we hadn't. My grilled chicken which the waiter thought the chicken might not be available and had to check with the chef was interesting, a tangy spicy sauce and the chicken was cooked well. My partner had something called 'Ayamase' which was described as having an assortment of meat bites. It became apparent these meat bites were offal which we definitely wouldn't have ordered had we known. The taste and smell of this was not to our liking at all and we both had upset stomachs after which was surprising and I could only manage one mouthful. Throughout the meal the waitress was giving my companion funny looks, so when it came to asking for the bill I made sure to look at her with a big smile. She became flustered and held back any expression of emotion throughout our interaction. This was the cherry on the icing if we ever needed confirmation that we were not welcome. Overall Horrible experience except for the plantain and we wish we never went.
The place is clean. Good seating arrangements. The food is good and it came fast. Good value for money. The fish was massive. But please do not ask for the food to be hot and spicy if you cant handle it. It was really HOT
Be careful with this place when using your card to make payments. This place is working with fraudsters together to steal your identity and money from your bank. My mate has just become a victim of them and they've worked with the fraudster together to cash out £5000 from his card.
