Nipped in for a bite to eat and a drink while Christmas ???? shopping. We had a coffee, hot choclate and and two of the yourkshire pudding wraps. The service was lovely and the team were very hospitable! Definitely a little hidden gem!
We only had a coffee, but had a lovely experience. Nice place. The owner's son was great. So too was the coffee, except we were given cold milk. hence not 5 stars.
Lovely coffee shop and restaurant, you can feel a relaxed vibe as soon as you enter the place. The service is terrific, they will take your order and deliver it to you with a smile.
The food is as amazing as the service, the full english breakfast including bread, two saucages, bacon, beans, tomatoes and two eggs is more than enough to calm your hunger. Nevertheless, I would recommend even more their milkshakes, their flapjacks, and specially their hot chocolate. All of these (curiously chocolate based) products are delicious. Just take into consideration that they did not have lactose free milk when I ordered the Hot Chocolate, they might have soy or almond milk though.
This place has such a nice atmosphere, really feels quite homely and welcoming. I had probably the best cheesecake I've ever had here before, too. All the cakes are fresh and the menu changes regularly enough to make every visit feel unique. Very much worth swinging by!
We had quiche and Jacket potato absolutely lovely excellent service aswell. Be back soon
Warm friendly atmosphere great for a quick lunch between jobs. Quick friendly service.
Really disappointing if I'm honest. It looks ok from the outside so we popped in instead of Gregg's nextdoor. Really over priced for tinned vegetables, the pork was too chewy to swallow apart from 2 mouthfuls. The coffee was very bitter from the machine, probably needed the filters changing or cheap granules if it was from a jar. The pork dinner might of been better if we'd came earlier.....but we ain't going back to chance it, £20 down the drain! Didn't even get a ' Goodbye ' like the others, must've seen what we left.
I'm affraid Chesneys wasn't the one & only!!
Great place to eat. Food always delicious and excellent value.

This creates a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for visitors. Additionally, the owner's son is specifically highlighted as providing great service. This personal touch enhances the overall experience for customers.
The food at Coffee @ Chesneys place is generally well-received. Commenters praise the full English breakfast, quiche, jacket potato, and cheesecake. These dishes are described as delicious and of good value. The menu is said to change regularly, ensuring that each visit feels unique and offering variety to customers. The atmosphere of Coffee @ Chesneys place is another strength. The establishment is described as having a relaxed and homely vibe. Visitors feel welcomed and comfortable in the space. This atmosphere contributes to a positive dining experience, encouraging customers to return.
However, there are also some weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One commenter mentions being given cold milk with their coffee, which detracts from the overall experience. Another mentions that the coffee tasted bitter, possibly due to the machine or the quality of the coffee used. These issues with the coffee quality may impact the perception of the establishment, particularly for coffee enthusiasts.
Another weakness highlighted is the absence of lactose-free milk. While they may offer soy or almond milk as alternatives, not having lactose-free milk when ordered could be a disappointment for some customers with dietary restrictions or preferences. This could potentially limit the appeal of the hot chocolate and other chocolate-based products mentioned in the comments.
One negative review mentions disappointment with the food and pricing. The commenter found the pork chewy and the vegetables to be of poor quality. The coffee was also described as bitter, potentially affecting the overall dining experience. The higher prices compared to a nearby competitor were seen as unwarranted and left the commenter feeling like their money was wasted. Lack of a proper farewell from the staff also contributed to a negative perception.
In conclusion, Coffee @ Chesneys place has several strengths, including friendly service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. However, there are also weaknesses, such as inconsistencies with milk temperature, bitter coffee, the absence of lactose-free milk, and disappointments with food quality and pricing.
