Mark only works from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Everything is by appointment only. He has a large clientele, so plan ahead. He is very personable and does a great job.
great place, one barber you need to make appointment but not the other.
Called early in the week to set my appointment. Got there early and waited for Mark to be available. Mark was courteous and professional. He gave me a beautiful haircut and I will definitely be back. Inexpensive and quick.
Im from Pennsylvania on vacation and need a cut and beard trim, i booked online, however the barbershop doesnt recognize online bookings. The owner was very accomodating though, i was 1st one there and took me right away. Spot on with cut and beard trim. I highly recommend this place
Classic Barbershop is by far the best barbershop I have ever been to in my entire life. Always a nice warm greeting as you enter and great conversation as you are being catered to. Very nice and clean. They always go out of their way to make the customers feel welcome and comfortable. They offer a variety of refreshments while you are in the waiting area. This is a nice, classy, clean, down to earth barber shop where they really care about their customers. They are Very professional and have very reasonable prices. They are there to please. If you want a great haircut, beard trim, shave or whatever your needs are, this is the place to go. Mark is a great barber and a very nice, pleasant, honest individual. Call to schedule an appointment, you won't be sorry you did. You have my word on it. I give my stamp of approval.
Best barber shop west of the Mississippi. Great conversation. Great haircut. Great price. Doesn’t get much better than this folks. Mark takes walk-ins if available but I always call ahead the day before to make an appointment because his schedule fills up fast.
The owner Mark is an excellent barber and a genuine nice guy. He's been my barber for a decade and I followed him to this shop when he opened it a few years back. Mark does appointments only at his chair. So call ahead a few days in advance if you want Mark since he's booked 3 an hour all day typically.
To those who feel the "by appointment only" to cosmopolitan for Kingman, I too felt it was a bit odd when Mark started this but I have come around. I can remember having to wait hours at the old shop. With 10 guys waiting and the inevitable "who's next" and the " your next" or "I was here first".....it did get tedious. Now I can call and set an appointment, and 90% of the time Mark is waiting with the cape in hand for me to sit in the chair.
As of June 2021 Rich is another barber who is working on the second chair and he doesk walk-ins. He is also a very good barber who gives an excellent hair cut.
Both are what I would call classic barbers (hence the name) and my results are what I want in a barber shop. I can say "the usual but a bit shorter on the top" etc to Mark. If I go to Rich I can say " taper the back, leave the sideburns just long enough to lay down, 2 inches on top except the front to about 3 inches, like a short pomp. Clean up my stache, goatee and get rid of the scruff" In my experience a "stylist" would vapor lock at that.
From the quality cut, low price, honest/friendly proprietor, clean bathroom, something cold to drink, conversation about cars, guitars, weather, guns, politics, our kids/grand kids etc to the smell of Clubman, Savicito & Tres Flowers to the straight razor neck shave, it's close to a "classic barbershop" here in Kingman.
I personally can't recommend this shop enough.
It's a good place if you can actually get in. The first two times I went the haircuts were excellent. I was impressed with the quality and price.
However, for the last four months I've come by because I really like their haircuts. Every time I've come by I was unable to be seen for various circumstances. It could be bad luck, but I don't have that problem at other haircut places. I think it's really understaffed.
