We had a lovely breakfast here this morning. The staff are always so kind, friendly and happy to help. They take your order at the table too which is always nice wherever you go. We sat in the basement which has some of the most comfortable seats ever! The "big breakfast" is just short of £10 for one person which may put some people off but given that this is an independent business and the generous portions and great quality food, it completely feels worth the money - 100%!
They also do the best buttery toast in Wales. They have an impressive drinks menu with lots of options both hot and cold, as well as a great vegan selection! There's something for everyone here.
We also appreciated how they played Smooth radio and not any annoying channels like Radio 1, it really added to the atmosphere!
We will definitely be returning????
I went today haven’t been to Blackwood for many years I was told that here was the best in town. I would not agree. My sister and I ordered two pork and stuffing baguettes and coffee and glass of water. At first they give wrong order . After 40 minutes the order did arrive they forgot my water . The only thing that was warm was the roll but the meat was not. Since I ate it my stomach has been painfull and going to the toilet all the time. It’s the only thing I ate that day so it’s the only thing it could have been. I will not be going here again.
I had a lovely meal in the basement dining room, it's very cozy down there and the food was fantastic. It did get a little loud because there are very few soft furnishings so sound echoes, but despite that it's lovely

Lovely place to go with lush coffee and professional staff. Unfortunately today's experience was far from good...I know upstairs was busy but went downstairs instead.
Waitress not very good at taking orders- more concerned getting from the table and receiving payment. Waited ages for our lunch and coffee but no explanation given from the waitress. Order arrived wrong but she offered no apology for her error...just huffed n puffed taking it away.
Waited another 25 mins for correct order but again no apology....it was down to one of the original girls to correct her mistake and apologise on HER behalf. Pretty disappointed to say the least.
Either stay from there or make sure she doesn't serve us
Lovely place stop for bit of lunch, staff are cracking and super friendly - food is great!
This place is very cosy and welcoming, they cater for all alleges and diets, the ladies are always smiling, I love going there to eat with friends. :)
