I really loved the Biriis and salmon that I had. Great customer service and the mango milkshake was really nice. As a Nigerian, it’s nice to try other African dishes. I’d recommend this restaurant
Lovely little place serving traditional Somali cuisine - we ordered a platter consisting of haneed (baby lamb shoulder) slow roasted then seared on the grill with onions and peppers along with chicken breasts which were marinated and grilled in their spices and super tender amd juicy served with spaghetti in a tomato sauce and seasoned rice. Excellent taste, great service and friendly atmosphere - the lamb shoulder could have been a bit more soft though. More than enough for 3 people.
I was amazed by the service. The workers were super friendly and gave my mum privacy where she was seated as she is Muslim. The food was given out in minutes of ordering and it was the Lamb with baris ????.
Food was ok, a little average and not particularly memorable, i had beef and rice and it was a good sized portion, the green chilli sauce was delicious though and made it a lot better overall. Place was very dirty but that doesn't bother me, only interested in how tasty the food is. There are better places than this around.
Poor restaurant.
AVOID!!!!! if you want tasty 'seasoned' somali food.
The rice was undercooked and bland, meat overcooked and bland and the vegetables undercooked AND lacked flavour, is even a little salt too much to ask for?
(Look at the pic of the vegetables, do they even look cooked let alone seasoned)
Appalling service, they were much better before, but now they seem to think they are amazing. Absolutely not the case right now
Honestly, I dont understand any recent good reviews, I feel its misleading and suspect.
If there was any redeeming factor its that the portions were big, not that you could finish because it was distgustingly tasteless.
Lamb shank and rice, you can't go wrong. But the house soup is the one. Go if you are hungry
Fantastic wholesome food. The chicken steaks and roti bread were delicious.
Meat was perfect, very well cooked and succulent.
Alongside ordered the soup, light and well flavoured, complimented the meal for me.
First time trying out Somalian cuisine so wasn't completely used to the very light seasoning to some meals.
Suitable for those with Dairy allergies
